again, coming from someone from cs, in cs there is no double elim system. in fact i want to see single elim more when it comes to playoffs, just like in cs. it shows you need to win when it matters, not just being good but choked in the stage (for example spirit losing to mouz on major qf, if there's double elim system, maybe they wouldve get to grand final, but the fact is they lost when it matters, so they should be eliminated)

you know how f1 has 10 teams every year. vct started off the same, just there are 4 regions so there are 40 teams (10 in each).
these orgs / teams can be replaced if riot reviewed them not good for their game (like how audi will replace / taken over kick sauber's spot next year ig)
the difference is that there will be teams that come up from tier every year so the league consists of 12 teams. these 12 teams will fight regionally to qualify to international events (2 masters and 1 champions every year) to determine who are the best in the world.
as for the players, its more random as you can grind from tier2 and upward (for example skuba now in NRG after playing in tier2), you also can move from other esport title and straight into tier1 vct (for example carpe from T1 was a pro in overwatch), or you can just be a ranked demon in the leaderboards and got scouted by the teams (for example karon and primmie from T1 and Talon)
