XSET move WeDid to bench

XSET XSET Inactive have announced that Matthew "wedid" Suchan will be moving to a sub role for the remainder of VCT 2021.

After a lot of consideration, the Valorant team has decided to move @WedidOfficial to a sub role for the remainder of VCT 2021.

Wedid will remain on XSET for as long as he chooses. We thank him for everything he's done for us, & we will support him fully moving forward. ⚔

WeDid has been with the team since its conception back in October of last year, when the team known as Pretty Boyz Pretty Boyz Inactive PureR Bryce Lovell AYRIN Jordan He Brando Brandon Parker thwifo Zander Kim HIA Eric Boggs at the time took first place in the Nerd Street Gamers October Monthly, and later became XSET. In a tweet about the change, WeDid stated that he is looking to trial and compete with other teams.

In their rise to the top of North American teams in 2021, XSET have not made very many roster changes. In January, the team announced the departure of Brandon "Brando" Parker and later addition of Brendan "BcJ" Jensen ahead of Champions Tour competition. However, the team's results in VCT have been varied.

A surprise upset against Envy in the 2nd round of the Stage 1 Challengers 1 lower bracket allowed them to qualify for the Challengers 2 main event. In the Challengers 2 main event, they had to make another lower bracket run in order to qualify for Masters 1, which they did after defeating FaZe and Luminosity in the lower bracket. However, in Stage 1 Masters, they exited the tournament at 7th-8th place following losses from FaZe in the Upper Quarterfinals and Gen.G in the first round of the lower bracket.

Following Stage 1, the team had better tournament results in the Stage 2 Challengers 1 main event, finishing second in the event and moving on to Challengers finals. However, in the Stage 2 Challengers Finals, XSET suffered an early top 8 loss to NRG, pitting them against Envy in the first round of the lower bracket. They were eventually defeated, and once again exited the tournament in 7th-8th place.

In my eyes the only reason I would see Wedid get benched is if they have someone lined up. XSET took a while to sign PrettyBoyz initially, and all roster changes (2) were relatively quick with new player announcements. One problem they've had is switching IGL constantly so I would expect whoever joins the team will be capable of filling that gap, along with keeping the flexibility (to some extent) that Wedid brought to their team comps.

Because of this I would love to see Tarik join, maybe he can bring that experience + IGL for the team which is what they recently struggled with. (They perform well all the way up to the big tourney, where they had 2 early exits in each masters). Other names I can think of are jcStani or even Shinobi but I don't think they would provide as much as Tarik would. (A bit of a stretch but would be really cool to see that happen imo)
