With the Ignition Series wrapping up in Oceania and Brazil, Riot Games have unveiled the next event for the Valorant esports scene. Valorant First Strike will feature the first tournaments to be organized by Riot Games' internal esports team.
The global event will feature qualifiers beginning in October, which will be spread out across North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania, with multiple regional finals produced by Riot occurring between December 3-6.
Qualifiers will take place in the following regions:
- North America
- Europe
- Asia
- CIS
- Turkey
- Middle East
- Oceania
- Brazil
In the article, Riot state the qualifiers will be open to all players above the rank of Immortal 1 and over the age of 16, alongside additional restrictions and rules which have yet to release. These regional qualifiers will be organized by major esports organizations in association with Riot.
Additionally, Riot have stated that they have taken feedback from organizers of the Ignition Series, alongside community feedback regarding scheduling and spectating, which will be taken into account with the organization of First Strike.
