As soon as they decided to end up with Ethan FNS and s0m on the roster, because like bro how are you gonna have a failing core of 3 genuinely refuse to compete unless they get to have their "fuck man remember Boston? Don't get me wrong he's washed at this point but I'm not sure I agree that Ethan was better than him at IGLing on NRG.

Okay, 2024 split 1 NRG vs 2024 split 2 NRG, you can even include 2025 NRG

Ethan is objectively more succesful in his short time as IGL, they beat more teams and got closer to international events.

This is obviously not an all-time discussion, I'm ignoring FNS' prime which is necessary in a debate about 2025 and a guy thats almost 40

The only time NRG got close to an international event last year was kickoff and the qualifications to make it to Madrid last year were way easier than it was to qualify to Bangkok this year. Blaming FNS for 2nd half last year is unfair imo, he came off the couch to IGL after streaming the entire season. At least Ethan had some time to prepare prior to the season even if it was still only 2 months. Idk how you can claim to be an NRG fan and even begin to have this argument. Ignoring the 2023 season to fit the argument doesn't really make sense to me.

do you want me to clarify for you? when ethan and fns both called in the same year, Ethan was more successful, you can even expand that to 2025, ethan in 2024 (much more recent than 2023, and relevant because fns retired after that year)

the point is that a fragging igl who cant call for shit offers the same as a halfway decent igl that is the worst aimer in the region

i think you can derive from common sense that prime fns is not being compared to ethan on igl

It's sad for me to say but FNS really doesn't look like the best choice to have on the roster right now. It's dumb that they can't sub him out without losing s0m and Ethan.

nAts is a great example of what FNS should be. He's super proactive as a sentinel and makes plays but if you watch FNS play he's afraid to take duels. He still has cool ideas like when did the huge flank on Fracture but whiffed his shot.

During his break he should've been improving but he just did watch parties and flamed other players. It was funny at the time but now he needs to back it up.

I'd rather remove him and risk losing s0m/Ethan. It might derail the season but whats the other option? It seems cooked either way. I'd rather have 3 guys leave who don't want to be here and pickup 3 hungry players from Tier 2. At least then you can see what you have in them and start building towards 2026.

It's just sad if that's how it goes out. Ethan and s0m are likeable people last time I checked but they'd look really bad if they left just because FNS was benched.

I hope FNS just really hits training drills over the next 2 months. It'd at least show he knows his weakness and is going to try and fix it. Anything else would really ruin my image of him as a pro.
