I think people really need to stop overestimating APK and especially Flor.

APK is a T2 team that is not much better than M8 or KOI yet people are expecting them to beat FNC, VIT, NAVI etc.

Flor was accurately described as a GC farmer because she was objectivity lightyears ahead of everyone else in that league. Guess what? So is every other T1 player. This is not GC. Is she bad? No. But you're setting her up for failure by hyping her up so much.

Happened to Demon1 after champs, FNS after his return, Boaster after FNC started losing etc. Expectations =/= Reality.

All we're seeing is how she performs in a league where she can't carry and it turns out she's just as capable of losing like everyone else. It's not just her fault but that's the reality of T1. I hope she gets some wins but can we ease our expectations.

Explain how this is a rage bait?

The forums were full of flor glazers saying she would destroy in T1. The facts are now very clear - this is not the case. She's a good player, but she's not everything VLR.gg made her out to be. So simply put, she's overhyped, which by now I think is a very clear fact.

Not every thread about flor is a ragebait. The OP didn't mention anything about her personally, only her skill level and the hype she's been receiving.

First, this is the first time this account has ever made a post, an indication of rage bait.

Second, nobody actually seriously thought that Apeks were going to win, they may have joked about it, but it was just jokes, that or it was just engagement bait.

Third, the only people hyping up flor to be this gods gift to valorant were her superfans, almost everyone else was skeptical of whether or not her talent would translate to VCT.

Forth, its not like she has underperformed by any margin, especially when her teammates look as terrible as they do and only provide assistance in 50% of games.

I can keep going, but I proved my point.

You definetly haven't watched any game with flor playing it. It is a really bad experience, trust me. The chat is full of people that are either transfobes or flor glazers. The last ones obviously more visible and numerous (the others get banned instantly even if only asking if she is a girl or a boy) and the rest of the people isn't paying any attention to the game and just defending flor as if she even cared about whatever they say on the Twitch chat. That and everyone praising her as if she was Aspas 2.0, even if she just killed 3 fully stunned and blinded enemies.

They are a 1 round off beating FUT, they beat Liquid and who knows what happens on map 3 vs KC if they win one more round on map 1.

Apeks were also 2 rounds off beating NaVi
They have had an incredibly competitive map during every series this stage

So while I agree the M8 is better they are very similar teams in terms of current performance (on a map basis)
1 good map per series, 1+ criminally bad

Difference is that M8 do just have 2 strong maps in icebox and haven where I think they can be competitive against any team whereas its nowhere near as clear with apeks

As for flor she's doing her job as kaajak's replacement and she has definitely proven her worth as a franchise level duelist

it's not about free, it's about being weaker. BBL and FUT are inconsistent chokers, KC is handicapping themselves on comps. Only TL is seriously up to par and they started dreadfully but are improving exceptionally quickly.

apeks is absolutely beating koi even without fixing their roles, and unless GX breaks out of their slump, they'll beat them too.

What nonsense. These players are in no world midtable.

Their players are amongst the weakest fraggers in the league. If anything their strategic strength is making them better than they are.

Navi heavy outfrags Apeks. Like its not even close. But they have much worse comps on average. And some bad gameplans on some maps.

Giants have absolutely messed up roles (far worse than apeks) and flawed gameplans but have better fraggers also.

Player wise apeks are essentially on par with KOI. However as a team they are more drilled and have better ideas.

Is what they are doing perfect? Absolutely not. But better than most of the lower teams. They are closer to utilizing the skill of their players than other bottom orgs

dude i’m a huge flor fan and i never expected them to beat FNC/VIT. They were close vs TH and NAVI but choked. Only team i saw them beating was GX and now idk. I mean the team was rated 12th for a reason coming into the season (and KOI somehow are worse than them)
