Hello all, it's time for another Cloudberries newsletter, this time I'm covering 2 weeks worth of games. Before I get started I'd like to formally invite you all to the Cloudberries discord.
After playing the first week of Premier with subs, Cloudberries still could not field their full roster due to time constraints and Ramadan, thus this only allowed them to play one game on the week of pearl. The game started with a quick pistol round win for Cloudberries; however, due to poor communication and some poor plays from 🇯🇴 Prancer the first half ended 3-9. Down 6 rounds and with constant trash talk from the enemies Cloudberries were motivated to win the map; quickly winning the pistol and bonus allowed Cloudberries to quickly close the game out 13-10 thanks to heroic plays from 🇺🇸 Elijah and 🇺🇸 Kamui only conceding one round on the defense half.
With the end of Ramadan nearing and Eid being announced on Sunday Cloudberries funny could play with their igl 🇨🇦 Cloudberry. Split was a map we wanted to play last stage however we couldn't. We ran a double duelist comp with Raze and Yoru.
For the first map Cloudberries won pistol round thanks to a 1v3 clutch by 🇨🇦 Askrial, allowing us to secure a 7-5 half, winning the pistol and a 1v5 clutch by 🇧🇩 Topphat allowed us to quickly finish the map 13-5 and queue into another game of premier.
The second game of the night started with us winning pistol but conceding 7 rounds quickly due to a failure to adapt to the opponents' playstyle, this led to a 5-7 half. After losing pistol we quickly were able to adapt to the enemy team punishing them and leading us to go to overtime. In overtime; however, 🇨🇦 Cloudberry had to leave so 🇯🇴 Prancer had to sub in on his account and helped the team close out the game 15-13.
After split Cloudberries have a record of 4-1 with 425 points, only 175 points (2 wins) off of qualifying for playoffs. The next map in the pool is ascent, we look forward to playing and hopefully qualifying to playoffs early this time.
