cmon man this org is cursed

Masters Berlin: 5th-8th
Champs Berlin: 9th-12th
Masters Reykjavik: 5th-6th
Masters Copenhagen: 5th-6th
Champs Istanbul: 3rd (goated run)
LOCK//IN: 3rd-4th
Masters Tokyo: 7th-8th
Champs LA: 5th-6th
Champs Seoul: 5th-6th
Masters Bangkok: 5th-6th 😭😭😭

I believe in this roster though, hopefully they break the curse 🙏

The common denominator is termi and mako. And mako is goated so therefore they should drop termi.

Termi always makes questionable moves on paper, but it always ends up faring well in the end. I think he's a top tier coach and is very over hated.

Yeah maybe you're right.

Think about it the other way: no coach besides Termi can get just consistently good results out of different rosters. And considering that they are starting out the year with this kinda performance and 2 rookies, DRX can be expected to play even better this year. The new roster hasn’t peaked yet imo.

drx bias is so funny

if termi coached T1 and his name was autumn hed be viewed as joseph stalin

elmapuddy coaches fnc to 5th-6th without leo and gets hate while t0rmi with any player he wants for 4 years gets to stay

Difference is DRX brings on rookies with which you'd expect to get nowhere near internationals, but termi has this talent of developing them. Sure maybe they could bring on/promote another coach for macro but I think termi's been a huge part of why they've been able attend this many events in the first place.

I think autumn is also somewhat over hated, but at least in his case I can understand why he gets the heat. He has a roster with BuZz, stax and Meteor so the expectations are ofc higher

ill put it like this, Klopp is an amazing coach, but they wouldnt be this good this year with him, sometimes you just need a chance, because i cant imagine makos exhaustion of being this stagnant at internationals - in any sports there exists this psychological side where you understand that a team is stagnating and you just need something different

i mean, give solo drx from 2021-2024 and he walks away with an event, easily

im not even hating on termi, i think he could turn around and get a job somewhere else, he just shouldnt be the coach of drx, he tried and he failed, needs to let go

Idk since when qualifying to almost every LAN and getting top 5 with ROOKIES is considered a failure

no but being coach of the same core of the best koreans for 3 seasons and winning nothing is a failure

2021 2022 2023, nothing to show, DRX needs to rebuild now that the talent gap is gone, they are no longer a monopoly of korean talent, they need sum diff sadly

The rebuild has already happened this is such a young them and its their first Masters for 4/5 players its so early in the season that kicking termi is so stupid to do THEY WON PACIFIC WITH THIS YOUNG TEAM

Why would they? I dont get you

He build a very good foundation for this season and they have already attented a masters and they have won kick off. Id rather have them struggle at the beginning of the year with their problems rather than in Toronto or Paris

I agree with you when you say it like that, but some losses arent even termis fault. Look at todays loss to t1 for example, besides the map veto sure, drx had a very winnable series. Looked like the players crumbled not the coach lol. They had a good gameplan but lost almost every single clutch

I agree with the termi bias but elmapuddy is a bad example to bring up because he really was so obviously bad autumn works for this because like termi they're both good but seem to crumble when it matters

Come on kid, elmapuddy had chronicle, derke and alfa make it make sense, termi does this with new rosters you gotta give him credit where its due

Its a consistent wall they've faced, they were always a good team with a system in place but they just haven't been able to adapt when they've been hard-countered. it's similar to PRX before this season; their aggressive play styles got them deep in the tournament and regional wins, but when it mattered most in the finals, when they played a team that knew how to counterstrat, PRX couldn't get past that wall.

I dont know what the problem is 1 day we look like the strongest team in bangkok the other we come so close to qualifying to playoff and the next day we fuck up the maps and switch comps for some reason (EVEN THO WE WON AGAINST T1 ALREADY WITH ANOTHER COMP)

I belive we will get stronger for toronto tho

I think they keep trying to force new things and hope it works out. Idk why couldn't just play their original comps prior to Bangkok.
