What role do you usually have to fill? Recently been initiator for me in Diamond/Ascendant elo.

pretty much before clove actually now that i think about it yeah
but at some point i gave up and just started playing duelist
i think ill lock in a proper role when/if i get to immortal since learning agents 'properly' is kinda useless for now imo
i usually insta lock initiator but i still get to play it even if i dont because no one likes ini for some rzn
controller or senti. In initiator I'd only play gekko or kayo because I dont wanna learn lineups. If duelist I only know yoru a little because thats the agent I played the most when I installed the game.
I enjoyed playing KJ or viper on icebox the most because no one did that and no one in gold realises how significantly their util impact the game but icebox is gone :(
Normaly i just fill cuz when my screen loads i alr have a reyna jett and clove
sick and tired of filling but I know that if someone else plays the role its a guaranteed restard on the team and a gg. I have to fill in smokes and initiator since the duelists and sentis only know how to bait
I fill most games, usually an initiator but after Tejo released I've been playing more chamber
any sentinel besides kj, only sova for init. just been instalocking duelist atm tho because haven't played much since the rank reset
as long as you have a controller any game is winnable in that elo, just lock in your comfort agents
filling is the worst thing you can do for your rank progression. play what you're best at not what looks the best on paper and you will rank up
jett and cypher been locking reyna. a lil recently and an occasional omen or clove pick
Filling is killing your elo gains!! Choose 1-3 agents in a single position and stick to them.
No lmao. 90% of flex players absolutely stink at using utility. You shouldn't fill unless your immortal+
it's not ragebait. if you master 1-3 agents in a single role you'll be surprised at how fast you'll rank up. playing sova, omen, raze, and cypher sounds like it's the most practical, but it really isn't. You don't know proper darts for every single map, you don't know how to raze satchel, you don't know cypher setups for every map. And mind you all that is the bare minimum. It gets wayyyy deeper than that. But, you probably know how to throw your cookie cutter smoke CT and heaven on every site. Still, that's not enough. You probably smoke your own awpers off, you don't smoke flat, you don't know any cheese smokes, one-ways, or OP tech.
Point is, filling is impractical because you are too focused on trying to use your own utility properly instead of comfort and confidence. And even when you're focused on utility you still don't know shit about using it properly in the slightest. So at that point your providing much less impact than if you were on your comfort agent and able to frag out.
Fill players are gonna be initiator like 90% of the time
At least in NA west I feel like there's always 1-2 people hovering or instalocking senti. And of course Clove is popular
mostly initiator, bit of sentinel, but it’s likely because i hover tejo until i see what the comps lookin like
Okay idk if it's just me playing him when he was brand new but I feel like Tejo sucks ass in ranked. I swear the missiles just push enemies into off angles that help them kill my teammates
i just find him fun. i’m trying to learn him so i can play him with my duo when she fixes her computer, tejo can be broken if you have even one other person coordinating abilities
initiator, luckily valorant has really added good ranked agents (in my opinion) for every role to farm kills, so if you want to rank up faster by having good performances you can just lock chamber/clove/tejo(or gekko) and try to kill as much as possible
I filled senti and smokes alot but now cause of clove I dont have to pick smokes. Alot of senti and sometimes Initiator
every role except sentinel unless its sage, omen on haven viper on bind sova or fade on other maps
Normally I fill, but I insta hover yoru because I thinks he's goated, if there are another two duelists locked in then I fill, mainly omen, vyse or Tejo. If by 20 seconds left there aren't two duelists locked in, I just lock in yoru.
I can play Clove/Omen/Cypher/Iso at a pretty high level so i mainly just wait and fill whatever roll hasnt been picked unless the last 2 roles are like smth/Initiator then i lock in whatever isnt initiator cause i hate playing initator. When Im forced though I can play Tejo pretty well but i think thats only cause hes broken rn
If ≥3 duelists, I fill controller
If ≤2 duelists, I fill initiator
(With caveats on certain maps)
