icl I preferred league esports over valo, like I have not played a single game of league so I didn't understand jackshit about any champions in that game but I understood the basic idea of lane control + economy management. idk why but comebacks in league feel so much more hype than in valo (or I guess FPS shooters in general).

But I think valorant might become more interesting when they add more agents and eventually introduce agent bans so we can see more variety in the comps the teams run instead of seeing the same fucking comp on ascent for the 100th time. I doubt it'll take over lol esports tho.

I admit I only started following valorant esports this year so I don't know much about GE's past or how they have promoted themselves to garner supporters. But yeah I agree its kind of scummy to ask for a country to support you when you don't support any players from that country.

Does nationality here really matter here? I mean esports is a business at the end of the day. GE is gonna pick whoever the deem good enough for winning (no matter where the player is from). I am not saying they'll win or make international, I am just saying its their decision.

I think they care more about winning and making champs because of the extra revenue.

I realise this thread is more about GE fans and I was thinking more about Indian esports in general. What I really meant was that no one has an obligation to invest in the Indian esports scene. Personally I am just happy with ANY investment in the Indian esports scene in general. But I wouldn't get mad at an org (no matter where they originate from) to not do so. But I understand why people may be upset at GE for not investing in the Indian esports scene.

I don't watch platchat, I only really watch thinking man's valorant. But doesn't everyone clown on GE atp?

I get the point of us seeing Indian players thrive in tier 1 but I don't really get the obligation of 'GE should hire Indian players because it is an Indian org'. if Indian players aren't good enough for tier 1 yet, why should GE hire Indian players? Only valid reason in my opinion is that; Indian players get experience from tier 1. Which is a very good reason don't get me wrong, however I don't believe GE is a charity either.

They are gonna prioritise winning. I mean just getting to champs means you get an extra share of champs bundle revenue right? Financially speaking it makes sense for orgs to hire players that they think would win them games, instead of prioritising country over skills.

If GE creates an academy for Indian players to improve I will support them, as for who they hire for their T1 team, I don't really care. Either way they are trying their best to survive imo, esports isn't really a financially forgiving business.

Every time I watch tarik he is yapping about non valorant stuff unless something insane happens on stream or SEN is playing. Personally I like FNS better but I don't hate tarik tho.

I mean every country you go to is gonna have some variation of this. The west is still better than majority of the world in terms of living standards. But I guess New Zealand always seemed like a chill place to me.
