I’ve asked this before and at the time I got mostly positive thoughts, but recently I’ve been seeing a lot more negativity towards it so I wanted to see what people think now that it’s unofficially confirmed

Even if we dont consider all the "ethical" issues it will probably be a mickey mouse tournament like last year for league of legends
at least there will be smth when waiting for stage 2

This is not what gonna happen, en EWC doesn't feat nation team, it's not a "world cup" the name is misleading

EWC is about the orgs representation I know, The Athletics e-sport is gonna be nation based, but too bad no FPS.

Tbf they said they were interested in it last year so it does add up
My question is just on if they’ll do the val portion at the start of the EWC (overlap with Toronto) or near the end (overlap with split 2)

Hmmm, if thats overlap it's a good new, that will allow team that is Tier 1.2 to have some tournament while the best play in Toronjto without making the calender even more heavy. A C2 is good

Ngl what the hell actually gets played here most likely to just be a showmatch tournament or mena playoffs to qualify for ascension but then that's just too late unless schedule is changed
