Thoughts on Valorant being at the EWC

I’ve asked this before and at the time I got mostly positive thoughts, but recently I’ve been seeing a lot more negativity towards it so I wanted to see what people think now that it’s unofficially confirmed

Even if we dont consider all the "ethical" issues it will probably be a mickey mouse tournament like last year for league of legends
at least there will be smth when waiting for stage 2

It’s the Esports World Cup, a Tournament which spans across multiple games. Hosted and owned by the Saudis

"World Cup" should be held in different Region/Continents every year.

EWC is about the orgs representation I know, The Athletics e-sport is gonna be nation based, but too bad no FPS.

Hmmm, if thats overlap it's a good new, that will allow team that is Tier 1.2 to have some tournament while the best play in Toronjto without making the calender even more heavy. A C2 is good

Yeah, that’ll probably be the case but it’s cool to have more LANs.

They work for riot a Chinese owned company. So hypocrisy was there from the beginning.

im excited to see how they do it because we have never seen teams from the same country playing with each other like this. it would be fun to see what teams are invited and who plays

Ngl what the hell actually gets played here most likely to just be a showmatch tournament or mena playoffs to qualify for ascension but then that's just too late unless schedule is changed
