Teams that make it to Bangkok

Remember this isn't best teams but who will make it through the kickoff brackets, I would not personally have these teams at the top but I like their paths to Bangkok

AMER - G2 and NRG
These 2 are clear favorites to make Bangkok from AMER, I think there's a lot of good teams that just need more time to develop, most likely making other events.

EMEA - TH and VIT
I feel like TH is a easy one, VIT we haven't seen them play but I think they come out hot

APAC - T1 and GENG
T1 gonna beat PRX early and sail to the top 3 and make it, GenG, Honestly this side of the bracket could go to any team, DRX, DFM, Nongshim, RRQ. but I think
t3xture carries them through.

CN - EDG and Wolves
EDG gets back to form and makes it, Wolves go through the gauntlet to make the finals, CN has gotten a lot better in the last 2 years.

G2 I agree with, Jawgemo was never successful as a solo duelist but we'll see if that changes this time around. NRG I have high expectations, but they should be fine if theres no problems within the team.

Who do you think makes it then? SEN isn't there in team cohesion, MIBR has a decent roster but I can see them failing later in the bracket, Lev could do damage but I don't see them making it, LOUD is not going to make or 2G, KRU hasn't looked great, C9 I doubt will do well with everything they have going on, I could see 100T making a miracle run. EG I doubt also.

They were arguably the 2nd worst Americas team last year. Going from dogshit to mid table (but not making it to champs) is a big win in my books. Especially with how much better the teams in Americas have gotten.

edg will fall, the skill gap in china is rapidly closing with the rest of the world, let alone nationally. edg were only good during champs last year, the rest of the year everyone else sucked more than them

bc th achieved incredible things with essentially 3 different rosters in 1 year, in the most fluid and competitive region in 2024. While emea has gotten even better, i think that th (even though they didnt "upgrade" on paper) will be dominant, at least early in the season when teams are trying to find their footing

Then why isn’t it the same for EDG? They’ve made a coaching and player change after shanghai and were a completely different team, they looked much better regionally too and were able to translate it in internationals, that’s why they looked way better at champs. Both teams made international finals for the first time with their current iterations. CN teams are also trying to find their footing in early season too you know

im just saying the gap from 2023-2024 (which was MASSIVE) is what's happening to china rn. Edg looked exceptionally good at champs, but it boiled down a lot to individuals like chichoo and smoggy popping off like crazy, and maps like lotus being very hard to counter. especially as regional teams get better, edg cant rely on stellar gunplay to win games. also while cn teams are finding footing, they have played many more games in the offseason, and teams like wolves, xlg, and nova have ran many reps, which is one thing that helped sen a lot early this year (looking mid season form in the early season, bc they were early season form in the offseason)

edg would be nothing without s1mons support, the real reason why they were doing so well. As long as he’s on the roster and supplying supportive utility they’ll do fine. It is true that they have insane individuals that won them rounds (truth is that they were always great but the team couldn’t capitalize on that very well) but that isn’t what made them super good imo, it was their change in leadership and style of play

With that being said, CN should look better in 2025 and if they give EDG a fair fight at least then I can see considerable improvement
