It is impossible for them to fail after they won champs, here is why:

They are the first team after Acend that stayed together afterw inning champions, its undoubtable that Acend failed miserably after their success, but it was early valorant. There is not a lot of space for valorant's meta to involve, and we saw EDGs ability to rework the meta (Good example: EDGs Lotus comp with clove)
Everyone on this squad proved that they are the best in their respective role, especially KangKang
EDG can basically adapt any meta comps ( Double controller, Double initiator, Double senti, double duelist etc.) And everyone on the team has a wide agent pool.
Everyone believes that EDG winning champs is a fluke because of their lacklusting performance in Madrid and Shanghai, but you have to realize that they had several role issues and coaching issues at the start of the year. But since they fixed their problems those issues will not affect them in 2025.
EDG beated the 2nd, 3rd, 4th best team in the world, not in a dominant fashion, but were very consistent and believing wins.
EDGs map pool is not great, but it isnt bad either. The only map that they are bad on is ascent, they showed good strength on haven , split and bind. Their best maps are Abyss and sunset. Plus there arent a lot of teams that played very well on abyss other than EDG and DRX?
KangKang (No comments just KangKang) (Fun fact he is the only champs winning duelist main who only played duelist in their entirety of Champs run/ cNed played Sage on bind for Acend)

how does double senti/duelist work

s1mon and nobody are like only intiator player and in double controller EDG always sacrifice a sentinel
EDG map pool should be fine tho it sucks lotus is out

otherwise I think EDG will be pretty consistent

it can but it just limits what edg can do for team comps. lets say double senti is a vital role to a future map, then what? you lose a duelist? probably not, which forces nobody or s1mon to switch off intiator.

i find it funny how s1mon is more flexible than ethan lmaooo. both literally only play flash initiators and nrg plays flashes as much as they can. edg should do the same unless they have no choice
