We need a rivalry

I was thinking about why (at least) NA VCT feels so boring, and I honestly think it's because we are missing a rivalry. Most NA players are basically washed CS players who played on the same teams, so there's no real reason to hate one another. When it comes to international, the teams barely know each other. When Zellsis called out FNS as being trash, I was waiting for a response... but no we need to be absolutely respectful to each other.

I'm not saying we need Keznit level of toxicity (aka racism), just that a few more toxic players would actually help the game.

Trash talk is like the back bone of esports, if everyone was humble then story lines would become rarer. I get that having someone talk shit the entire season gets annoying, but also watching the shit talker win or lose gives more 'emotion' (ig) to that win. That's just what I think

I think it stems from the fact that yes, they are all friends, but I think they are all friendly in case one of them gets dropped. This way you have more opportunities. Players haven't been getting dropped as fast recently but I think the fear is still there.
