Is Alecks the problem?

I'm wondering if Paper Rex needs to pick up an analyst. I don't understand how you could have a team of players who have been in the top tier of VALORANT for so long and have the most international experience out of any team and still make the ridiculous mistakes they make. These guys deserve a trophy for their mechanical skill alone and it's depressing to see them go out 5th-6th.

My take is: They got a finish but never really pulled through with the win, and i feel like more teams have started to get used to their hyper-aggressive playstyle and adapting to it, while PRX are still doing the same things. In this context, the coaching staff should take some blame for the lack of innovation and discipline with how they are playing recently. Even teams that are mechanically worse than them by a mile has won against them (g2).

alecks isn't the problem, but he isn't the solution. what prx needs is discipline, which they need a performance coach for, not alecks. alecks is doing fine

I mean, Alecks deserves a ton of credit for everything he's done for these guys and nothing should be taken away from him. But I'm wondering if he's brought them as far as they can go at this point and there needs to be analysts/assistant coaches or whoever to bring these gifted players into a different direction. They got top 3 at Madrid, sure. They're still a regional powerhouse. But I'm worrying that the team is regressing internationally with how VALORANT has changed.

He definitely is the problem. He’s been in the league for like forever with the luxury of four (arguably 5) great players but still couldn’t devise a winning formula.

I legit thought they moved away from Reyna after Madrid. Reyna on Breeze makes zero sense. I think moving away from Cypher comps is impacting them too.

i don't think its a roster problem they need a mental coach when PRX player plays good his legit the best player on his role or in any server they can play normal comps like on lotus (forsaken senti is insane and something gekko is good af) i think jingg needs to expand his agent pool a lil bit that's about it and the amount of throwing might need a assistant coach too

While I understand the thought process, I think it boils down to just the PRX identity. And I don't think that's something that Alecks can just forcibly change, because the players have stated multiple times that they love to play the way that they do, and they don't see a point in playing valorant if they're not enjoying it. You can argue that Alecks enables it, but I think he just understands that he can't "force" them to play a style they genuinely don't want to play.

im 100% fine with the identity they have proven that they can make it work and be world beaters the problem is they keep tossing man advantages and they aren't consistent i think they need a mental coach and assistant coach so alecks can think of "troll comps" like there old comps for example there yoru bind comp was actually a really good comp and there other old comps had good ideas but i think aleck's work load has been crazy monyet than jingg comes back and even last year with cgrs and benkai

No. When it comes down to the game, the coach could not only do so much. In the end, the players make the ultimate decision on what they do during the round. Paper Rex (the players) chose the high risk high reward of an aggressive playstyle.

Yeah Alecks is the problem. Just look at his stats. Legit has a sub 1 rating on every agent, and he isn't even the igl. They should remove alecks.

some of his players literally just take for fun peeks.

Ngl, i wanted 100T to win but there were times where s0mething single handedly won and lost the same round in a matter of seconds.

Other regions will always struggle to appreciate w gaming, it only suits them when prx are winning. if they lose suddenly they need an analyst or new coach. Don't support PRX if you can't get on board with the fact these 5 players love to go on stage and play Valorant their way and have fun.
