No one can beat India in this ig. I am Nigerian but even I agree Indian food is best
Indian food is a strong contender
but its hard when mexican and east asian food exists
I like japanese food tbh
But I really want to try REAL indian food but my parents always go against it bc of the strong flavours
try it on your own
find a 5 start restaurant and order
coom from the flavour explosions
reflect and review
No no no the best food is from a place with exactly 3.5 stars and the reviews complain about the place being run down
i would say that making nice indian food isnt hard as long as you have the ingredients. maybe you could try some recipes at home, that way you can adjust the spice levels and the strong flavours.
I agree and most places with a decent indian population(basically everywhere lol) will have indian/pakistani supermarkets nearby where you can get the remaining ingredients. You can do a lot with just common vegetables and flour/rice as long as you have the spices
You really should if you don't like bland food. Indian food has sooo much flavor and naan is fuucking amazing. PLus you can dip the naan into the sauce that comes with your entrees and it is even more fucking amazing.
probably indian, but japanese, korean, and mexican are definitely up there
I'm gonna exclude Mexico bc I might be biased, so if I had to say other countries prob Italian and Japanese
Korean (no bias seen here :)
edit: dang y'all downfragging a Korean for liking Korean food lmao
Ehhh not really imo. While you will likely see more and more Western chains/foods, the original cultural dishes have stayed fairly similar (although the process of making those cultural foods has slowly shifted from hand made to mass produced with machinery but that's pretty much everywhere tho).
Depends what u wanna eat
If u wanna focus looks rather rather than flavor go to japan
But if u wanna focus flavor rather than looks go to india
why would people choose looks over flavor? It doesn't make sense, though japanese food is not as seasoned as other cuisines I don't think it's all looks and no flavor lol
Well some western north people actually choose looks rather than flavour bcs it's stimulate u to eat even the food also north people it's already habits they don't have much spice so eats with only salt and pepper it's already good back then.
.
Expect from south people we got easy spice also habits when the flavour not enough they always add more
Agreed, their cuisine in general is nothing too special but when it comes to meat Argentinians got it all figured out
you gotta try brazilian gaúcho steak too
it's the best itw alongside the argentinian (most because of the geographic proximity)
honestly as an Indian, Thai and Filipino food is fucking amazing. I got invited to a friend's birthday and shes filipino and i when i tried adobo i think i ascended to heaven. And its very easy to make. I got like a container with the spice mix and i make it from time to time. Never dissapoints
For thai food, Pad Kra pao and green curry are insanely good.
0/8, anything north of France has mid food and we both know it. Although finnish food is at least better than swedish(meatballs with reindeer spit sauce)
not indonesia for sure except for rendang and satay. most foreigners couldnt stand our spice
I'd probably rank my favorite foods/cuisines:
Chinese
Italian
Japanese/Thai
Spanish
French/German/Viet
Never really tried Indian
German food is very interesting imo. Big fan of Schweinshaxe and Currywurst, sauerkraut is also pretty nice but I know many people who dislike it. Only bone to pick with it is how salty some of the dishes can be.
As for Vietnamese food, I've never had it in the country itself but I've been to some "authentic" restaurants recommended by local Vietnamese people in Paris. Quite refreshing to say the least. Rice paper rolls are amazing.
Spanish food is so underrated imo. Favorite dishes have to be paella and tapas (too many good ones to name).
True enough, but believe me, the best food is in the north of Spain (Asturias, Galicia, Euskadi). The food there is infinitely better than in the rest of Spain.
I think I've visited the north once when I was a small child. I haven't been there since so I haven't been able to evaluate the food there with my current standards :(
Greek food is delicious. Mediterranean gastronomy in general is the best, imo
Spain has it all. Great beef, fresh fish, awesome produce. Eat at any restaurant in Marbella….can’t miss.
personally greek food fits my digestive system well but i love east asian and spanish dishes too. German food is more of a comfort food for me
the ones that i enjoy are mostly fishes with greens that are from the mediterranean sea with cheese and honey. THe cheese are not the italian ones tho. They are greek ones from sheep (feta cheese)
Objectively? Thai.
This is based on the spread of each cuisine and do they sell in other countries.
French and Italian are great but the reason they are massive is due to the French empire and Americanized Italian food.
Japanese and Chinese cuisines are spread by their diaspora and soft power, Indian cuisines also benefit from their diaspora + British Empire.
But there is not a big Thai diaspora or empire yet there are Thai restaurant everywhere. Surely that means people outside of Thailand loves it simply because how good it ia.
No I think cuz its simply easier to cook and make, less recipes, more commonly simple dishes. Ingredients arent hard to get either.
Am I the only one that like "bland" food? like I mean not that many spices just you know some soups meat potatos breads and a lot of meaty sauce? So I would probably say central european and eastern european food
No. It just means you are very white loooool. I wouldn't consider German food bland tho.... Or Scandinavians and their love for liquorice. Most Europeans just have a low spice tolerance.
Why white? Yeah in my opinion they are not bland too they are very tasty when I was in Czechia I liked everything that I ate I suppose german and other central european food is similar and I never tried scandinavian food I just heard that they eat a lot of fish
It's a joke in America that white people can't handle spices or flavor... We had a period of time where everything was a casserole, and or had potatoes and starches in it. Funnily enough Cajun food is pretty intense and that's from the swamp french here who are mostly white or Haitian.
Personally I think European flavors can be pretty intense! With lots of unique taste profiles. Cheeses being a great example. Just not "Spicy" in terms of hotness. I'm pretty sure a flaming hot cheeto would kill some of y'all, and not from the chemical preservatives 😂
I'm not going to say American because it's really just a melting pot of world cuisine, and the only cultural food we have here that's truly mind blowing is Cajun. Highly recommended.
I rather hear from people that I can respond to and take in their perspectives. Googles overrated just like C9 about to get dominated by NRG real soon.
Really depends on if it's Indian food or Indian food. There is a difference. Like 50% of what the world thinks when you say Indian food was definitely created in the UK or the US and is about as authentic as an Aussie pizza with the lot is to pizza from Naples
Yeah like authentic chinese food and panda express bullshit chinese food
Honestly, yall really do be sleeping on quality Aussie pub food. Nothing hits like a counter meal at a good country pub.
Mixed Grill, Based
Chicken Parma, Gods gift to food (ps if you order order mash and veg instead of chips and salad your citizenship is about to disappear)
Surf and turf, Need I say more
Aussie Pizza, yall about to yap and say its Italian but I'm pretty sure nona would cry if she saw a bbq chicken pizza or a fully loaded meatlovers from the local
Beer batter fish and chips, Poms wish the could make food this good
All that served with a pint for less than the cost of a meal at maccas, Aussie pubs are the peak
Wait, are there really people who like Indian food? It always made me feel sick every time I ate it...
Argentine, Brazilian and Italian food >>>>>>>>>>
I personally love middle eastern foods but india and vietnamese foods are also top tiers.
i can never decide between Indian Italian and Chinese...these are my perma top 3
gotta be italy for me
(honestly i havent tried that much)
(also Currywurst clears everything)
people saying US has the best food really need to start trying better food or examine their taste buds because that's crazy.
i've tried a lot of different cuisines, since i like pretty much all cultural food
but the top ones have to be mexican, indian, and greek for me
For me, West African has been hitting lately, especially dishes like Fufu and Obe Ata
