this guy went all the way to APAC just for BLEED to stick him on viper when they have sScary?? one of the best vipers i’ve seen play. they made yay play viper 1st map then they put him on jett 2nd map? looked like he had no duelist confidence on icebox after playing slow viper.. #JUSTICEFORYAY

You play a VCT event at elimination on a role you're not comfortable with? Isn't that yay got worse, it's more of yay stayed the same and the rest of the field improved/adapted in terms of mechanics. His team overall played sloppy, including yay; sometimes his decisionmaking is very questionable, regardless of which role he was playing. You can't just get lurked on constantly and run directly into set plays and expect yay to get 3 everytime.
I don't find that it's all that different, but I think his confidence has been affected since other players have improved and they've gotten a bit more aware. yay was at his best when he was solo anchor holding the angle or flanking on chamber and a similar scenario with jett, where victor/yay shared some role on the T side playmaking. Now solo holding the angle is a lot tougher since they might throw util/jump peek you for info and then double swing you, esp if they've done their homework, which GE did.
You are right he has proved himself more on the international stage with aggressive agents he's a type of players who will get you kills important kills if you are not even going to play him on his comfort roles then he's not going to have good game, those who watched the whole game will know this clip where yay was on b haven stairs defender side and it was smoked and yay knew there were enemies yet still he walked out and tried to get a kill that's aggressive play and if you think about it if he had a Jett a raze or chamber he would've peaked and instantly went back but he couldn't as a chamber this shows an anchor is not the type of play style yay has as he relies on his aim rather than utility.
Seems like he has very low confidence.
On a new roster in a new region.
and has been unable to adapt to the new metas and role requirements that have been created post chamber meta.
The fault doesn't just lie with yay it lies with the whole team.
However you can't just absolve yay from being at fault.
Called this out on the other thread when he was in DSG and now BLEED. Yay the type of guy who needs a whole support system around him to succeed. Teams and players evolved and got better. He's just not the same as he was before without Chamber. If you can't see that you're in denial. Obviously him playing on agents that wasn't his main role hurts him which he doesn't specialize in yet bleed put him on those. Can't expect miracles. Confidence also at an all time low i'm sure.
