Na'Vi and FUT are good, yes TH is good, they played well against PRX and SEN which could've easily gone either way. G2 are just better than most people think. Vitality and BBL are also not that awful.

idk I think FNC/GenG will be close, though I favor Gen G because FNC really lean into the viper comps

posted 5 months ago

by that logic 100T can't be put at #1 either

CS in China is specifically different; CS is one of the most heavily modified clients and only got MM relatively recently, has very heavy anti-addiction measures linked to your birth certificate (for instance, if you're under 18 you only get to play 2h on the weekdays or it kicks you off the game), and Valve hasn't invested as much into the CN scene until recently (might be related to anti-addiction measures relating to skins/crates), as well as Valve's very strict performance only focus on bringing teams to Majors. The result is really slow progress to get really good CN teams.

Riot's esports philosophy is different from Valve's, that's why they have regional leagues for games like LoL; they really want to see a worldwide audience at major events. Even then, CN teams already scrim APAC teams (EDG/PRX are scrim partners for instance) and also only got a MM release last year I believe, most players were playing APAC servers off of a VPN before that.

fnc wildly underrated here. their form was poor in stage 1 but they seem to be improving rapidly.

That just means that the ceiling can still be higher in EMEA. FNC won two trophies and finished top 4 last year. It's a good sign that EMEA has cycles talent instead of having nepotism picks. It's not even Americas hate, MxS, M80, TTR have a lot of talent waiting to take the top rating spots too.

posted 6 months ago

Huh? Same could be said about OXY rn or demon1 last year, t2 is quite literally the future of t1 fym

posted 6 months ago

Not really, liquid had some good ideas that would've stopped many other teams. They managed to choke somehow and leave one of FNC's best maps up but liquid played uncharacteristically well if anything. I'm happy for G2 bro and I'd rather have had NAVI there than FNC too but the hating is out of pocket

They could definitely beat Gen G/T1, any of the Chinese teams, their playstyle is also good against PRX. I don't think KRU could beat them, one of their best maps is lotus and I don't find their game plan convincing. LEV/G2 could but I think it's a toss up. Of those I think 100T have the highest chance, but FNC bans bind.

FNC is playing much better than they were in Stage 1 imo, they're getting more proactive and are winning with boaster dropping single digit kills every map so I wouldn't count them out. That being said they have a lot of weaknesses fundamentals wise, are still a little behind the meta so they have some things to work on. I'm just saying there really is not a guarantee for FNC to win or lose yet, really if you're a fnatic fan the outlook is positive even if they lost to TH.

posted 6 months ago

Benjy 1.16 rating with 400+ rounds played and only playing sentinel is actually crazy

posted 6 months ago

I've definitely seen worse than fnatic in both americas and APAC, TH is just wickedly strong right now and very hungry. TH doesn't have any weak maps and are so mechanically elite

posted 6 months ago

patitek is good but not wo0t and benjy and miniboo hadn't peaked

Do they not comm in english?

posted 6 months ago

Isn't Leo calling sometimes too? Surely you kick him and get zeddy or profek

posted 6 months ago

i won't dispute you on donk. why the rest of his team choke against faze though, he was 1v9. spirit need perfecto or something

posted 6 months ago

KRU was garbage but 100t pulled a master class on LEV. G2 still look like a solid team. KRU shouldn't have underestimated them.

posted 6 months ago

carried by poles and come on, rio was a mickey mouse. face it, electronic is washed and jame is a baiter, classic CIS gameplay. same thing in valorant. your goat chronicle is going to get farmed by miniboo who's just learned his times tables.

posted 6 months ago

virtus pro got bodied by literal NA CS and now you have to cope here, crazy

posted 6 months ago

G2 got dogwalked by MOUZ so valyn could make masters

posted 6 months ago

They have weaker fundamentals. Lyosar caught half his kills mid killing people on rotates on breeze, surely you spend some util forcing him off the angle or retaking mid before rotating.

posted 6 months ago

not an insult you're just a bum bro, own it

posted 6 months ago

This comp has got to stop.

posted 6 months ago

She's alright, she can clear back B/kill cypher util on B and nade out back pyramid, she's not very good for mid control though. I feel like you can play any comp in silver as long as you have smokes and flashes, try reyna even

posted 6 months ago

at s2 it's probably a fundamentals thing, not an agent thing, i'd just pick agents you're comfortable with
i'd learn initiators or duelists on breeze, gives you a lot of control on the game, just depends on your playstyle. kayo, skye, gekko, fade, sova all have a lot of impact on that map.

posted 6 months ago

Imm 1, haven't played the last 3 acts too much tho
Kayo, viper, fade, gekko, omen
Gives you a lot of control on the outcome of the game in terms of util and you can still do a lot of damage being the 2nd one in to trade

G2's best work is a light pack

posted 6 months ago

SEN doesn't have any excuses. They lost just as many rounds against LOUD as G2. Saying one over the other is like picking a shit sandwich against a turd burrito. Being consistent at valorant is literally finding ways to circumvent the antistrat and coming up with antistrats yourselves.

posted 6 months ago

True, and KPI looks like a solid environment to bring up new talent, it's reminding me of Spirit Academy from CS. If he continues the form he'll be picked up by a great team.

emea is being carried by turkey and CIS gamers so "EU" might be way too specific, emea in general looks very good though, even the middle of the pack look alright like vitality, m8s, and kc

posted 6 months ago

No one's been looking like clear Masters winners in Stage 1, the whole point is to work out what you need to do to play winning valorant
Many EMEA teams have been innovating and there's some clear improvements in firepower. FUT and NAVI look fantastic right now, and I have high hopes for TH and KC. I wouldn't even be too down on FNC if they can work out a better game plan.
