Boostio was their best player for large parts of the year. Without Boostio fragging out like crazy they don't even get to Tokyo so I would say EG Boostio > EG c0m. 100T Boostio is a different story though, thats like prime b00sti0 era.

Champs 2024 for EDG: Nobody, S1mon, ZmjjKK, Chichoo & Smoggy
Masters Bangkok for T1 2025: BuZz, Izu, Sylvan, Meteor & Stax (& technically Carpe)
Masters Toronto for PRX 2025: Patmen, F0rsaken, D4v41, Something & Jinggg

I think if you count Carpe, it's him. Not even flaming him as a player, but he played only 1 series, where he didn't play all that good. He's the 2nd lowest rated player for that tournament. Otherwise, I think it'd have to be between Lakia, S1mon and C0m. They all played a super supportive role for their team, and made them not play nearly as good individually. My shout would have to be Lakia, even if he played pretty dang well.

Probably the only logical answer here. It’s a good point. It’s not that Lakia is a bad player, he just had an average performance and fulfilled his role, whereas a lot of the other players stood out in some sort of way during their winning run. You’d argue at least c0m was a very clutch player for EG, and s1mon was still an active fragger on EDG. Lakia was neither a top clutch player nor was fragging something he excelled in.

I mean, Lakia still played really well in Shanghai. But looking at it, all of the players at least peaked when they won the trophy (Boostio, for example, was fragging pretty heavy, he did not look nearly as good after champs.)

I think Lakia was incredibly important for GenG, especially since it seems he played an important role for mental and calling. But he didn't really individually peak during their trophy winning run. He was much better at Madrid, Champs and the regional matches imo.

Mechanically Boaster is the worst trophy winner but in terms of worst player, its hard to say since if you are a trophy winning team your players are good but I'm gonna say Zellsis (I think com and Ethan did more for 2023 EG, and Boostio's igl)
