HS% higher than 30.

I think its a interesting thread, what u guys think is the most useless stat in comp?
To me, personally, makes no sense having 60% HS, and then stay 7/20.
I remember when Myssen got that statistic in the old Havan Liberty... and the whole team did poor internationaly, back then...
Im a bit suspicious on Cortezia, but he appears to be a good player overall.

hs% is what it is

the real useless stat is rating, its a stat that uses a lot of shit from csgo but theres so much more utility in this game you cant really look at rating at anything other than who shot better and stayed alive more

rating is not a very good factor for measurement bc it completely denies role importance

an initiator should get more priority for assists, a senti should get more priority from staying alive, a duelist should get more priority for fk, and a smokes should get more priority for space denied/util used (idk how to measure this one)

well theres just no way to statistically measure how good a duelist or controller is tbh

rating just heavily favors players like leo who stay alive a lot and trade a lot, when in reality if rating was fair chronicle wouldve had much higher rating at times

i mean a duelist shouldnt consistently be the last one alive, bc that means that the team doesnt have him as entry and dies. controller i agree you cant really measure most of the value of smokes is qualitative

Crazy take.

Ik it isn't counter-strike, but it's crazy to me that 30% is 'too high', while around 50% is the expected average in cs2.

Yes, 7/20 is bad, regardless of HS%, but if someone gets 25 kills in a map, below 150 adr, and has an abysmal HS%, I'd assume they're just baiting/trading. Yeah, important fundamental, but anyone could do it, at least at the pro level.

only last hit headshot kills count in cs, that's why it's always higher than in valorant. if we count all hits valorant would have a WAY higher hs%

they should implement impact rating. ofc it would favor duelists but that's just how it is, there are roles which are simply more impactful than others, nothing we can change about it

Ah, makes sense.

Crazy to see Cortezia's HS% stats, in that case.

it's just reflective of the players aim style tbh

I think its fine if u base it off of weapons specifically, the avg is kinda misleading cuz i have a 19% on tracker but 35% with vandal, 30% with phantom and 55 with ghost

Nah 30% isnt "too high", but the stat is still borderline worthless.
HS% is just a stat that lacks any and all context in a game where context is king.

There are just so many correct plays, that lower your HS%. Spraying through smokes, right clicking with the classic, buying like half the games guns, spray transfers, confirming kills on low hp tagets (util damage galore) all are "bad" plays according to this stat. And thats only the things I can think off from the top of my head, im sure theres way more examples when paying attention to it during a pro game.

A players ability to get consistently get HS is ofc a good thing; however the stat doesnt properly capture this.

Gotta agree with HS% as a stat. Though I dont agree that its a bad sign; it just isnt a positive one either. As long as the player preforms otherwise then theres no harm in their playstyle resulting in a high HS%. If you can consistently hit the ghost/sheriff 1 taps then its fine that you dont get the classic (for the right click) for example.

The other stat that I find pretty useless is KMax. Should be obvious why its not practical in a game with variable game length, but its just a "for fun" stat, that gets brought into stat discussions from time to time.
