Is it any good? I just started the first episode
Realm3098 [#5]3 years hype was not worth for this season imo
You won't get emotionally attached to characters unlike s1.
Season ended on a fucking cliffhanger so you'll have to wait few more months or a year maybe
Ykw, I hate cliff hangers
Nothing wrong with them, it's just the way my mind works
Gets attached to these characters too much
So I keep thinking
Reason why I never watch anything mid season only after it has ended

nah I got emotionally attached to some characters problem was that they got into the games so late into the season (almost the mid way point) so they didnt get to devolp
Hades_Loves_Rb [#2]eh ending was trash but other than that it was decent-main problem is that it was a part 1 to another season so there was a lot of buildup but no resolution to any plot line
How is the ending trash if its a buildup to the next season like u stated? :0
LowGun [#8]How is the ending trash if its a buildup to the next season like u stated? :0
because the entire last episode is also trash, feels like every character got hella plot armor when they are going against entire armed militas and not getting hit a single time, it feels like such a jump out of no where, one minute your watching the games happen and everyone is average/above average skill wise and the next minute they are perfect soilders feels like I was watching a whole different show

Bc its not an ending probs idk havent watched it

All korean men have served in the military. And pretty much all of them died asw so what plot armour?
It was pretty good from a writing perspective. Really liked how they dealt with the confliction between greed and security with the xs and os. Pacing felt really good too, I think people complaining about it just wanted to jump straight into the games without fleshing out the characters.
Only problem is that the actual games were a little uninspiring and deaths weren't as dramatic but that's to be expected tbh

Korean men have mandatory military service. Why you acting like its surprising the men know to shoot a gun
its a 6/10. You could tell that the director and writers kinda just wanted money from Netflix. It was still good cuz they had really talented actors but the writing fell off compared to season 1. Alot of things that happen will make you mald and the ending too. If I were to compare it to a franchised team s2 would be like KRU eSports or Zeta Division

there was none of that though, all it really showed was that greed is human nature and people will fall into mob mentality in a crisis. There was no resolution to the moral conflict gihun should have been facing(him participating in the games and people still died, only his friends survived) and the writers just wanted money with the cliffhanger ending.

The fact that there's no resolution makes the writing better. It shows the hypocrisy of gihun ideals, especially with the conversation that frontman and gihun had during the scene where gihun is willing to sacrifice some players 'for the greater good' when his goal was to save everyone in the first place. It links back to the first episode where the recruiter talks about him being trash like everyone else, where you can have all these ideals and aspirations but ultimately the human nature to preserve ones self is king.

if anything, it's the other way around
most of these kids dont know that netflix barely payed the director for season 1 and gave him a life securing bag for seasons 2 and 3

yea i can see that. I mean the whole point of the masked man participating in the games was to expose gihuns hypocrisy. But I think there was a chance to show gihuns heroic ideals rather than just completely trashing him. I feel like the whole point of season 2 was to show that gihun was wrong even though they ended s1 and began s2 to make gihun a hero. It was a plot twist but summin that just wasn’t needed.
