In valorant, is volume or quality of players more important. Like is it better to be able to field 5 players who can win it all but everyone else shit or be able to field like 4 teams who could hold their own against high level competition but aren't quite good enough to go all the way even as a superteam

Has to be the latter , to get someone like primmie or meiy you need a miracle, you can't rely on miracle to win you games all the time .

Would you consider 2022 Brazil or 2022 APAC stronger? At that point loud owned everyone but everyone else in brazil.was kinda cheeks while APAC.was fielding a ton of solid contender teams but just wasn't strong enough to push it over the ledge (APAC is a region ik but thought it was a good comparison)

i think apac was a better region that year with the first masters having i zeta and paper rex both top four and the next masters paper rex got 2nd and while they prx bombed out at champs drx still got 3rd so overall i would say apac was better that year than brazil since they only had one team

sheydos is the one winning games for KOI together with grubinho, not his fault it is a 5v5 game and not a 2v5.

While I think that volume would matter the most, while also considerin its population and people who actually play Valorant.

Chile, for example, has 19.6 million people.
USA has 333.3 million.
China has 1.412 billion.

Also, we would have to take into account the number of slots in VCT.

Latam has 2 spots for both, Latam South and Latam North; China has a whole league. Obviously, this also depends on the population. (Then again, India has more people than China, but I guess that not as much people play or watch Valorant, so they don't have their own region).

As such, it is much more probable that a country as China develops more talents due to sheer amount of players than Chile. And why I am quite happy for the amount of chilean players attending champions.

There's not enough good RU talent to make a third team outside of these guys. Maybe d3ffo, maybe Jady can fit in here. But idk. Lumo?

volume is by far the most important, since it means that a country/region has more longevity when it comes to talent. they don't need to rely on a single generation of superstars to foster results, since they can simply plunge back into the pool of upcoming players and foster some more

Sadfully, we will never make a tournament where a country have more than one team... that would be intresting to have a situation where every country got 3 team and you've need your 3 team to go far to win, but if one day an tournament with country happen it will be only 5 player

Esports is a top-down game. If you have superstars and their followers, one of followers will become a new superstar. Everyone develops using the superteam as an example. Eventually, trophies will mean volume.

if we're accounting for population it's Korea and if we don't its probably the US

by either measure Turkey is for sure top 3 though (maybe 4th not population adjusted, Russia, US, SK?)
