Tooker [#4]Absolutely insane how much better Jadeite have gotten since split 1
i love this team!!!!!!
Chow1E [#2]if i see korean flag on the list.
feelsbad for full japanesse roaster in scene
lol 50% of the finals is foreign
benjy [#1]
~~FENNEL 3-2 SCARZ~~
FENNEL 3-2 JADEITE
JADEITE 3-2 SCARZ
lmfao bro couldnt get it write the second time either
Chow1E [#2]if i see korean flag on the list.
feelsbad for full japanesse roaster in scene
thats why i was rooting for FENNEL, sad they couldn't do it
masterbaiter69 [#30]JDT first lan ever, SZ has the momentum winning yesterday in front of the crowd, literally zero advantage for winning upper
GG JDT
I guess we have to see a team with two russian and one Philippines carrying two Japanese win JP challengers.
such a shame
Jemk1n is half Japanese / half Russian same as Suggest as Half Korean / half Russian.
Yoshiii too is half jpn / half ph
Ararianyaka [#32]No pick advantage for the upper bracket winner is a little bit too much. Why don't they give 2 bans for JDT as they did with Zeta in Split 2 last year?
every other ascension league(MYSG, KR, PH, ID, and so on) has two bans for upper winner, it's only JP challengers
so stupid format
derptz [#31]Jemk1n is half Japanese / half Russian same as Suggest as Half Korean / half Russian.
Yoshiii too is half jpn / half ph
jemkin is half japanese? that's probably not true
thatpower [#36]nah its over
experience diff imo
zero lan experience definitely hit hard, their aim first map looked so nervous
chloeburbank [#41]jp peaked at 131k viewers, other regions wish they could lol
I am not talking about the crowd..
masterbaiter69 [#39]zero lan experience definitely hit hard, their aim first map looked so nervous
yeah especially izu. he's missing easy shots he would 100% hit online
thatpower [#44]yeah especially izu. he's missing easy shots he would 100% hit online
it's his first ever Lan in his entire career, no wonder he's nervous
upper winner de-buff fr
crashhacker1 [#48]it doesnt help that they didnt get the 2 map bans upper finalists generally got completely wrecking their confidence as they started on maps they're uncomfortable on.
they could have picked lotus(SCARZ perma ban, JDT 4-0 map)
masterbaiter69 [#49]they could have picked lotus(SCARZ perma ban, JDT 4-0 map)
yeah they didnt help themselves either, scarz always ban lotus. Even the coach fumbled and now they're 1 map away from choking after an unbeatable season. If Im not wrong, split 1 was also similar way for CR with being unbeaten (not even a map loss) and choking in the final to FENNEL.

scarz banned lotus because of the shitty format though
if JDT could've picked lotus for first map, this would be a different story
masterbaiter69 [#35]jemkin is half japanese? that's probably not true
Yoshii is for sure half and half. I seriously doubt Jemkin is, or at least don’t count as so to Riot. Because I mean, he doesn’t look like the typical Russian, but if he has indeed Japanese why did they not just sign a 3rd Russian like Vici and stomped this

yoshiii is 100% half, doesn't speak japanese though
agree with the rest

jemkin is not half japanese
Mortadelo [#66]Question for everyone complaining about JDT not having Map Pick advantage cause I genuinely don’t know. Did Scarz have map pick advantage in the Upper Bracket Finals for being the top 1 seed of the Regular Season?
No and that's not how it works. It only works in playoffs if a team gets to finals without losing a match.
s0ber [#68]No and that's not how it works. It only works in playoffs if a team gets to finals without losing a match.
Yeah no, winning the regular season has to give you an advantage over the 2nd seed too, winning the whole season has same or more value than winning a playoff game. Both should get an advantage, if none do then it's fair imo
Miting [#76]I hope Scarz win it and calmly go to Bangkok
Yeah win or lose they'll go to bangkok to lose their manhood lmao. 4-10, 1v4 choke, championship point wasted. Aint no way they win. 100% mental down.
Spellbound [#77]Yeah win or lose they'll go to bangkok to lose their manhood lmao. 4-10, 1v4 choke, championship point wasted. Aint no way they win. 100% mental down.
Let's see
hangsow [#82]too hard 2 russian carrying 3 japanese bots, something vici v2
Scarz outplayed Sengoku the last Split. Something played with Jemkin together before
ChrisGG [#85]Izu is not having a good game but other than that for the whole league he diffed jemkin , if he was on point today this would’ve been 3-1 for jadeite
where could he diff jemkin? in one regular season game where they lost? or do you mean team diff cuz that's the only thing I saw.
Totta [#86]Jemkin on his way to pull a Something when SG choke in split 1
Not the +37 +100 kills loss again
Spellbound [#77]Yeah win or lose they'll go to bangkok to lose their manhood lmao. 4-10, 1v4 choke, championship point wasted. Aint no way they win. 100% mental down.
Did you watch it?)
Mortadelo [#69]Yeah no, winning the regular season has to give you an advantage over the 2nd seed too, winning the whole season has same or more value than winning a playoff game. Both should get an advantage, if none do then it's fair imo
in other regions u only get map bans for getting to grand finals without losing? why would it not be the same in japan? even in all the major tournaments in 2022 u have a map ban advantage in the finals
Omahr [#93]Wasn’t expecting Jemkin to be Asian is he half Japanese?
I guess he is not, but it's better to ask him or his teammates
Omahr [#93]Wasn’t expecting Jemkin to be Asian is he half Japanese?
Not half Japanese because he doesn’t count as regional. Could be half something else tho
Aielt [#100]I've been supporting them since bluebees days, feels so good to be fan
Same here!
It's kinda sad zennakukin got mental problem but glad they came back strong and their chemistry is still really great despite of their various backgrounds.
Yeah it would be good to see young JP players dominate our league but I'm really proud of SZ. They can make it for sure.
s0ber [#103]in other regions u only get map bans for getting to grand finals without losing? why would it not be the same in japan? even in all the major tournaments in 2022 u have a map ban advantage in the finals
I’m other regions the playoff format is completely different. You don’t play seed 2 on a bo5 straight away
You can’t really give map adventage with other formats
Emmy_TOF [#105]japan got carry by foreign everytime
Japan is literally the best place for upcoming Korean/Russian (living in far east) talents to step up to tier 1 scene
kankel [#111]Japan league more like Russian league
Thanks to all teams who give a chance Russian and Russian-speaking players to play there!
Miting [#112]Thanks to all teams who give a chance Russian and Russian-speaking players to play there!
Hopefully everything is fixed for next year and there is a Russian VCL instead
Mortadelo [#113]Hopefully everything is fixed for next year and there is a Russian VCL instead
I hope. But I think it won't be fixed. However some of the players would keep playing abroad and in other leagues (better contracts, get used to play with those teammates, etc)

Yeah but at least it won’t be because they don’t have another choice
LouBag [#120]Sad for Japanese fans.
Soon we won’t see any Japanese in t1
i get what you mean but everyone besides kr1stal is either part or fully japanese so its not that bad
I wanted Jadeite to win, but oh well. What can we do
It is indeed very bad. Everyone admires ZETA for their full Japanese roster. Even if SCARZ were to win the Champions, what should we celebrate for? Should we celebrate that a Japan-based organization won? Where is the pride in that?
It is a great shame for all Japanese FPS players that Japan cannot produce 1% of the talent Russia produces. Japan is being used as a medium for Russian players to rise, but this is just not how it's supposed to be..
I miss ZETA vs NTH days

you dont want to support japanese org with 2 japanese players? You talk as if SCARZ is a 5 non-japanese player team. What if japanese player comes to an international tier1 team and wins champions you wont support him because his team is not fully japanese? kind of doesnt make sense. I don't understand all that hate for scarz. Like jadeite is not even full-japanese 2 korean players so you want to support them because they have 1 less import? FENNEL has foreign coach and 1 foreign player and syouta is chinese as far as I know so it makes 3 foreigners but 1 with japanese citizenship. Like there is not much of a difference.

What I wanted to say is that there is no fully japanese strong team atm in challengers so you support jadeite scarz or fennel its all the same. But somehow scarz get all the hate.

from what i've seen, a lot of korean players are basically seen as japanese because they speak the language fluently as well as have similar enough cultures.

But the guy commented where is pride in that. So where is pride in supporting korean players? Isn't Japan being used as a medium for Korean players to rise then? I don't see any logic in seeing korean players as japanese they are still foreign. It doesn't elevate japanese scene to have korean imports either.

Point out where have I said or implied hate towards SCARZ.
Yes. I am reluctant to support a five player Japanese team where only two player are Japanese. The reason is because if those two players were to be replaced with two imports, it wouldn't matter.
Russian players are talented. And I am not so shameless to piggyback on their talent and claim that as a win for Japan.
If a Japanese player were to be good enough to play internationally on T1 team, I will still want a team from Japan with full Japanese roster to win. After spending countless days on a mine, a single diamond in a bag of coals is not a good find.
And it's not about the number of Japanese players, but it's more about the impact they have. Allen and Toraneco is barely standing out among the others. Yes, one less import does make it better. It would be better if there were one less, leaving only one import. No import would be the dream. What is your point again? Everyone wants that. There is a reason ZETA had a huge following even disregarding the crazy fangirls, ZETA was favoured because of the all Japanese roster.

Because Korean imports are not hard carrying the team, where the leaderboard looks like two Japanese players at the bottom and the Korean imports overwhelmingly outshining them.

I didn't mean that you are hating I just said in general because all the ones who leave hateful messages have the same points as you do. But I didn't say that your message in particular was hateful. Just wanted to give my five cents on this topic and I thought it would be best to reply to you because the theme was similar.
Allen and toraneco both showed what they are capable of in two series winning many important rounds and I would say that you cant just swap them for two complete bots or randoms and have the same results. They both are very important pieces in the team.
Having two korean imports is still not a win for japan. Every import that you mentioned is a key player in their team respectfully and if you switch them out it would matter and would matter a lot. You cant just swap IZU or syouta out of a roster and think that they would win. And sorry if my message came out as if it was agressive. It wasnt aimed to be like that. The main point I wanted to deliver is that scarz don't deserve the hate.

IZU was carrying them through out the regular season tho. He consistently was above everyone else by a lot. I would say he outshined the japanese players. It just so happened that he didn't show up against scarz. And you can notice that majority of imports play duelists I would say that it makes a lot of impact on the score.
