I AM actually curios for some other reason, because I've not really heard any valid reasons. Regarding #61, after they've unbenched him, someone from the G2 camp was saying that keloqz worked out his pracc problems and is working on himself. Even if there are other reasons (which I would love you to elaborate on), I think the fanbase played a (maybe not super significant, but still some) part in that. After all he does have a large loyal following, probably the largest non-TR following in EU, which I'm sure G2, as a basically part Spanish org values

Carlos doesn't give a fuck about your name, fanbase or viewership numbers when that doesn't win you titles. He won't fall for social pressure (malding kids) so this leads me to beef up my thought on the previous point. If you don't perform, you're "out" ]

If an org goes for the name before the fit because of pumped up numbers, I assume they do it to expand their brand value and thus profit mid-term. How does this apply to the most popular and well-established European org?
If you're not familiar with G2 the answer is different yet simple; they don't need this, they've never cared about this and never will. That's just a bonus, it's nowhere near close to being one of the main reasons. As I once replied here:

[ I think we're overreacting those "monetary gains" a bit for an org like G2 which can make another superstar out of thin air (in this case, it's the org that makes them popular, not the other way around, take any of their additions accross their different esports games as an example. Mixwell joined purely because of his performance and it paid off

Also those gains go to Mixwell mostly and he's already established his audience, it's not like he'll pop off again (so where can you keep mining that "fanbase"?)

G2 picking up Spanish players because they're a Spanish org is nonsense and very basic level analysis and I don't think it's good to superimpose that view onto an org that has made clear their principles multiple times.

Not benching him obviously, that decision was already made anyway. But to release him from his contract. I already thought he was gonna spend another entire year on the bench with a buyout that no one was gonna pay.
