Two official Riot rulings have declared G2 Esports G2 Esports Inactive and Movistar Riders Movistar Riders Inactive Nixerino Nicolás Canellas Colocho YuNo Eloy García Vorwenn Tomas Baldrich Blastinho Miquel llombart Pando in violation of rule 7.2.11 of the Global Competition Policy, which covers "Unauthorized Communications."
G2 Esports were invited into the first VCT Stage 1 closed qualifier of the year. Further investigation by Riot proved this to be an "isolated instance for celebratory purposes," which didn't result in a competitive advantage. As such, G2 have merely received an official warning and will not be sanctioned.
Minutes after, a second competitive ruling was issued surrounding the same rule. As a result of this ruling, Movistar Riders will receive a three-point deduction, equivalent to a one-match loss, in the points tally of the VRL Spain: Rising to which they have been invited.
