Lowk if they figured out everyone's comfort roles this team could've actually made a LAN they just overcooked with the 7 man roster. They could've easily beat the likes of T1, GenG, TS, and ZETA to get into Tokyo or might've made champs over ZETA in LCQ.

t3xture - Duelist
Ayrin - Flex
Monyet - Smokes + secondary Duelist
SkRossi - Sentinel
Bazzi - Initiator

GE played 3 games without Indians and lost all of those. With Indians they at least won some games.

no bias but the GE roster at the start of 2023 before Skrossi and LF looked very good with the roles they were on.

and if they had stuck with this roster and these roles they mightve made it somewhere

I lowk think it was because t3xture underperformed the first 3 games that sparked those changes, if he popped off even once in those games then we would have a much different 2023 GE roster.

disagree. Since we're talking 2023 context at the time maters.

GE:

  • t3xture gain his Resurgence because of solo (2024), they worked together back at Damwon, u can look at solo remarks at pacific content coach.
  • SkRossi: guy is willing to throw games for hero plays and unnecessary OP purchase on agents who's not for OPing in cost of team credit management.
  • Ayrin not gonna frag regardless
  • Monyet only looks good here,

T1:

  • Saya and Carpe mentions on interview that these guys were scrim/prac till 2am/past midnight daily for majority of 2023 because they desperately wants to make internationals, T1 put so much efforts to catch up with PRX/DRX for those tokyo/champs spot.

GenG/TS:

  • TNL 2.0 and Warbirds TS are definitely close contenders for internationals spot, however tokyo only has 3 spot (DRX/PRX/T1).

ZETA:

  • After getting knocked out from qual to masters tokyo cause of crow fracture incident, they managed to beat TS in LCQ to make champs (Chamber meta + Laz). TS players jessievash and dubstep mentions how LCQ chamber meta helped ZETA to qualify for that last slot in champs.

so....NO. GE would NOT "EASILY" beat any of these 4 teams and make internationals in 2023.

T3xture also kida struggled on duelist mostly due to comm'ing issues during his time with GE. from what I hear he himself asked to shift his role too.

But honestly, Riot's format for tier 1 doesn't really let teams set up in the long term, unless you are willing to be mid for a couple of seasons and build brick by brick (I wanna say kinda like RRQ). The number of matches on stage are very less for the players to get their reps and learn from their mistakes on stage. The last 2 iterations of GE's rosters have improved over time (2nd roster: ever so slightly) but it's too late by the end of the season. The fact that they nuke the rosters (for whatever reason, even if it is out of their control/they are unwilling to do so) and start from scratch each year doesn't help too. For this reason, I hope they atleast stick to a core and build with the long term in mind.

"unless you are willing to be mid for a couple of seasons and build brick by brick "
GE changes their roster all the time and not only they weren't even mid, they lack personalities and WINS.
it's not the format fault dawg.

They mentioned that texture, couldn't communicate as well so they didn't put him on duelist bc he would need to be vocal for util or sum. Could be bs.

T3xture comms issue (he didn't used to english comms)
Monyet is fine, he is controller-duelist
Ayrin is a good IGL but lack of aim (still fine for 2023 standard)

Ayrin and Bazzi are not good player
Find better players and kick Ayrin in 2024, buy better igl from top team in SEA challenger
