SkRossi had good games against GenG, TLN, DFM and PRX. Was terrible only against RRQ and TS. He had more good games than bad. He was simply too inconsistent.
And agree with the LF part. He shouldn't have been in the 2023 playing 5. He was decent in 2024, and has improved since, but in 2023 he wasn't good enough on raze.

Yea, he diffed Meteor on both maps, and Something on Icebox. Had decent games against Talon and DFM too. Was poor against RRQ and TS. I think a huge blame for the SkRossi hate goes to the toxic fanbase/trolls which overhyped him. He was a good player, just not as good as the expectations were.

Finished league play with a rating of 1.00. I wasn't on VLR back then, so Idk how he became a meme, he was rated higher than players like Meteor, Foxy9, Rb etc.

posted 1 day ago

I am relatively new to VLR, how exactly did SkRossi become a meme? I checked his 2023 stats, and his rating was 1.00 in stage 1. He was rated higher than players like Rb, Meteor, Foxy9 etc.

SkRossi wasn't even the worst player in Pacific in 2023, forget being the worst in the world.

Chronicle has played 4 agents in the entirety of stage 1, that's less than what Forsaken played today xD.
Moreover, Chronicle isn't even among the top 20 rated players in Stage 1.

posted 2 days ago

Forsaken has got to be the Greatest Flex player of all time in Valorant. Plays EVERY agent in the game, casually top frags, and has been doing it for years now. Deserves to win a Champs/Masters trophy.

Lmao GEA isn't even a top 5 Indian team. There are LFT Indian players who might outperform GEA. RNT and VLT might put up a fight if they reach ascension.

Sorry but I don't think it was a dumb question. In a lot of countries, people love being shown on cam, especially in stadiums. Americans take it a step further with "kiss cam" etc. So I can understand why the guy was curious.

GE played 3 games without Indians and lost all of those. With Indians they at least won some games.

T3xture: 0% (0/4)
SkRossi: 42.85% (3/7)
Polvi: 30.76% (4/13)
PatrickWHO: 33.33% (1/3)

I mentioned only the ones who were designated duelists and played solo duelist irrespective of the map. Therefore I didn't mention players like Wronski, Lightningfast, Udotan etc.
(Feel free to correct me if you think the data is wrong)

I wish, but I highly doubt it'll happen. The roster is shit anyway, so it'd better to go with an Indian roster and increase the viewership. Not like the Indians are gonna win the trophy or anything, but I want some Indian players to get exposure.

Afaik, some NA T2 players like Sacred, Jerrwin & Ion2x are of Indian origin, and getting them in the team would not only improve the viewership, but also the quality of the team.

posted 3 weeks ago

As if that's working.

posted 3 weeks ago

Just watch their academy roster play. You'd probably start liking their main team. GE Academy team couldn't beat T3 Indian teams, no wonder they got destroyed by the SEA teams.

posted 4 weeks ago

If that's the case, it's sad that Indian players didn't get a fair chance to get into an Indian team. While I agree that the quantity of good Indian players is very low, I think GE has failed to utilize the ones who had the spark.

Back when GE organised the show matches last year, I knew PatrickWHO wasn't as good as the coaches claimed. I think the only reasons he made it through the tryouts were
1) Neon META
2) Ping advantage.
I don't see a world where Sayaplayer, Foxy9 etc. did worse than PatrickWHO in the tryouts. Forget Sayaplayer, even Venka diffed Patrick despite playing on worse ping (and without a coach). NAOS destroyed GE in the show match too.

"Not even winning a single game in LCQ"? They lost just one game lol. And SkRossi missed the first 3 games of the season, all of which were lost by GE with T3xture on duelist. SkRossi is kinda mid, but he and LF were scapegoated in 2023 and 2024 respectively. LF was one of the better GE players in Split 1,and carried them in the Talon game which was blown away by Polvi. He had a bad Split 2 and it made him an easy target.

Calm down, mate. Match ain't over yet.
Moreover, they are playing against TH, who didn't even make it to Bangkok.

posted 1 month ago

Fr man. Have been following them for a while now and it has always been the case. Even when R1sen (now in GE Academy) was on the team, they almost defeated MLT (current RNTX), but lost some close games and crashed out of the tourney.

India won both the Men's and Women's Chess Olympiad last year, and Gukesh defeated Ding in the World Championship.

Izu's aim is really good in general. We saw glimpses of his brilliance last year too. This year he has been one of the best players so far, and his performance might decide the winner of Masters Bangkok.

I didn't want to generalise, coz I know there are genuine fans of the game out there. But yea, I think they are probably the most hypocritical bunch in the community right now. Feels kinda bad coz I used to be a PRX supporter coz of their aggressive playstyle, but since 2023 it's been a downhill journey (both for the team and the community)

I miss the 2022-23 days of Valorant. Back when people actually cared for the game instead of drooling over the players. Yay, Marved, Aspas, Jingg, Ardiis, Derke etc. were popular because of their gameplay and not because they were cute. Later players like Demon1, Jawgemo, COM, Alfajer etc. too became popular coz of their gameplay.

I understand that the "kpopification" and parasocial behaviour of fans are beneficial for the marketing of the game and for the orgs, but I think it has a negative impact on the community overall. Some examples:
1) if you criticise a player, all the parasocial fans will come at you (PRX and Sen fans are famous for this).
2) Sen fans tried to get G2 cancelled over a meme (a laughing emoji pointing a gun at itself), even though Sen players have made similar jokes in the past.
3) I have heard some PRX fans accused Flashback of some wrongdoings because DRX defeated them. (I don't know what exactly happened, so pardon me if I got anything wrong here)

On top of all that, there are the cringe tweets (you know what type of tweets I am talking about here) . I could write a whole ass paragraph on just that topic.

Tbf OG looked pretty good on Haven. But yea, doesn't excuse the 13-0 on Pearl.

posted 4 months ago

The Indian Val scene is a shit show right now. No player in tier 1 this time, and the T2 teams haven't looked great either. But to be honest, young players like Venka, Techno etc. are our best bets right now and all we can do is hope they improve.
Even though OG players were sick throughout this tourney, it's no excuse for losing 13-0 (neither this nor ping) . However, they looked good on Haven, so that's the only silver lining right now. Hopefully they do well in Predator league and 2025 VCL/Ascension.
As for MOGO, they mostly get carried by Azys and whenever he fails the team gets thrashed. DM, Rawfiul and Levi are inconsistent af.

Oh, had no idea about Patrick being sick. Now it makes sense.

posted 5 months ago

I remember that match. However, that was a full-fledged LAN tournament with equal ping for both teams. And even the TR squad had been playing together for quite a while. Here OG was playing with a sub, and from what I've read they were playing at a higher ping too.

posted 5 months ago

How did GE almost lose a map to a T2 SA team which was playing with a Sub, that too at a ping disadvantage??! Makaveli was one of OG's best players, so I thought both the matches would be one sided. I know this is their first game, but with all the odds stacked in their favour, one would expect them to win a bit more convincingly.

posted 5 months ago

I still think OG would have the upper hand in this match up just coz of their aim. Even Hellff started fragging out in some games. Right now the favourites to win VCSA are MOGO, OG and RNT if this roster comes to fruition.

posted 5 months ago

Maka and Venka have been doing good. Techno hasn't been at his best yet, but I have faith in him. If Hellff and Hoax become consistent, this team could do really well.

posted 5 months ago

JFT didn't do anything special in Ascension this year. The only team they defeated was Rapid Lofi, and RNT defeated RLF by an even bigger margin. The only time Oceania looked like a strong region was back in 2023 when Bonkers reached the playoffs of Ascension.
GE might be a shit team, but they haven't done something bad enough to get kicked out by Riot yet.

posted 6 months ago

The fact that Techno had a rare off day and OG still won convincingly gives me hope that this might be the first All Indian team that doesn't have to rely on someone to carry the team.

posted 6 months ago

Only 1 RNT player was in bottom 10 rated players (Skillz). But yea, Dos9 and Sultan were absolutely hard carrying RNT. I wish Dos9 and Sultan had decent Indian teammates like Venka Or Techno. The Kazakhs wouldn't have had to carry so hard.

posted 6 months ago

While I get that India isn't the strongest sub-region in Valorant, let's not forget that many imports that play in SA T2 ended up making it to VCT. SPG Persia (ex Orangutan), Dos9 (according to rumours he is gonna join Boom), FPX Autumn. Even Sultan would have made it to some APAC team if not for the import rule.

posted 6 months ago

AST ain't the same without Rizen. And this OG roster would probably beat any team in SA region, so won't be surprised if it's an easy 2-0 for OG.

posted 6 months ago

If I remember correctly, Venka topped the charts in VCSA Split 2 playoffs, and almost defeated RNT singlehandedly (the one with Sultan and Dos9, not Severine). He not only outperformed the imports from his own team, but also the ones from other teams. And so did Techno (I think he had the highest rating in his team and overall top 5).
