PRX finally did it!!!!!

posted 3 weeks ago

If I remember correctly, it was the org owner that said so in one of his streams. That one statement alienated a lot of GE fans, because let's be honest, GE ain't a team which can be supported based on their performances. Most of their fans supported them coz they had Indian players.

Wait, do Indians really say that shit?! 😂

Not the J-word please😭

Nobody does exist, though

Yea I agree with your point. Also, the academy team doesn't even have the best Indian T2 players. I mean that's how it generally is for most acad teams, but for a region as weak as India, you need to get better players in your academy team. (Someone like Venka could easily transition to T1 if given an opportunity)

I have been following Envy for a few months now (since DUPG days). I think he has potential but he is very inconsistent, and his lows are far more common than his highs. From the current roster of GEA, only Yuvi seems consistently good. But he needs to be tested against better teams.

They had a really passionate fanbase in India. People used to tune in for the watch parties and the peak viewership during VCLSA finals and APAC LCQ used to reach very high peak viewership.
But their owners/stake holders alienated this passionate fanbase by removing the few good Indian players they had, and instead recruiting worse players just coz they were from other region. (Example, Polvi and Benkai)
To make matters worse, they said Indian players would hamper the 'competitive integrity' of the league. And funnily, they went on to lose with foreign players🤡

Imagine if he makes it to the Grand Final in Toronto and goes -9 xD

If Envy wins ascension this year, they will have to replace Ion2x and Cane. There are enough smokes players who can fill the shoes of Ion, but it is gonna be exponentially more difficult to replace Cane.

Kinda, but he is an American citizen afaik (pls correct me if I am wrong).

posted 1 month ago

Fr, GE picks up gold and turns it into trash. The anti-Midas touch😭

posted 1 month ago

Ping disadvantage. Plus he diffed PatrickWHO in one of the games GE played last year December.

posted 1 month ago

That's cope. The imports were playing duelists while these players were support players. Ain't no excuse this time.

Hello

posted 1 month ago

Yea,, hopefully they keep getting better and perform well in Ascension (I think they're gonna win Split 3 too)

posted 1 month ago

I had given up on Indian Valorant after that news.

posted 1 month ago

Fr, that too against a team which has 2 cracked Russian imports.

This guy is genuinely cracked. Definitely the best Valorant player from India ever. And the best part is that he is just 18 right now.

Iirc, last year Venka diffed Dos9 and Sultan in some games too.

posted 1 month ago

Venka is the GOAT from India. I think he is already better than prime SkRossi and Deathmaker. And the best part is that he is just 18 right now.

posted 1 month ago

I don't think so, Ion's util usage was superb. And their solution to every set back was "Canezerra go kill". Without ion2x and canezerra, they might struggle against good teams.

posted 1 month ago

Their imports have been so underwhelming, I expected better ngl. Surprisingly SkRossi, the player I least expected to perform, was their best player against RGE. LightningFast has been consistently good, but the rest of the team hasn't stepped up.

posted 1 month ago

Get better imports. That's it. This is the first time I have seen 2 Indians carrying the imports in VCL SA. And this wasn't the first game where it happened. Damara and Madelyn have been really underwhelming for import standards. Russ can be excused because he is a pretty good IGL and has played decently.

posted 1 month ago

Yea, Antidote isn't a great aimer, so they need the other 4 to perform consistently. I believe Venka's addition has really strengthened RNTX, because he can take some pressure off Azys, like he did on Haven and Split today.

posted 1 month ago

That makes sense. Ascension is a good opportunity for players to indirectly trial for the franchised teams. Among the current bunch of Indian players, I can see only Venka and Lightningfast doing that (if they don't choke on the big stage).

posted 1 month ago

Fr, RIOT is killing the T2 valorant scene in SEA.

posted 1 month ago

RNTX rely heavily on aim. So if any of their heavy hitters underperforms they are gonna get cooked by SEA teams.

posted 1 month ago

That round was crazy. Damara with the 4k followed by Azys going nuclear. Venka and Lightningfast were crazy good too. I think India might finally win more than 1 game in the ascension.

posted 1 month ago

Venka and Rawfiul were the reasons they won on Haven and Split. So no, they weren't carried by imports, it was a team effort. In fact, VLT were being carried by LF.

posted 1 month ago

Crazy to say this when we saw probably the highest quality of Valorant this region has ever shown.

posted 1 month ago

Canezerra is definitely gonna make it to T1 once he is old enough.

posted 1 month ago

Dos9, Autumn, Persia all came from the South Asian scene.

posted 1 month ago

Not gonna be easy to guess mine.

posted 1 month ago

I think Ion2x would be better than Paradox for India.

posted 1 month ago

S8UL valorant team comprises both Indian and Import players.

posted 1 month ago

2nd highest rated player in the league as of now (minimum 100 rounds)

posted 1 month ago

Cane and Ion are gonna bring back the NA glory days it seems.

posted 1 month ago

Tbh I don't believe the tryouts were fair. Because there is no way PatrickWHO was the best duelist. He got diffed by Venka and JA in November/December and people said it was coz of lack of practice. And he ended up being the worst player in stage 1.
Moreover, the tryouts were in Singapore server, giving SEA players an advantage.

He did something

posted 1 month ago

India has been one of the weakest regions in APAC in the last 2 years, but this year they have 2 teams (VLT and RNTX) that could do well in Ascension bcoz they don't (hopefully) rely on individual brilliance.

posted 1 month ago

The only reason I think RNTX might come close is Venka. Last year he diffed Sultan and Dos9 in some of games, especially the Breeze and Split games in the playoffs of Split 2. If him and Azys step up, it could go close due to the sheer firepower of RNT.

posted 1 month ago

I agree. The real test of VLT will be against SEA teams, and before that against RNTX. Apart from their IGL, RNTX is the strongest team in India in terms of aim. If Azys, Venka and Rawfiul pop off, it's gonna be really difficult for VLT.

posted 1 month ago

Most of us knew RNT won't go far. They were carried by Sultan and Dos9, and Skills was absolutely horrible in terms of aim. Russ and LF are definitely upgrades over Paradox and Skillz. If Damara and Madelyn step up, they could reach top 4.

posted 1 month ago

Fr. For the first time in 3 years I feel an Indian T2 could make it to the top 4 of Ascension. This time VLT don't have to deal with underperforming IGL like RNT and OG did in 2024 and 2023 respectively. RNTX might be the only team standing between VLT and the Ascension slot, especially after the addition of Venka.

posted 1 month ago

Used to live there (for 10 years). I don't have any idea about vehicle services, but the Rock Garden is a pretty good tourist spot. Especially during the sunset.

posted 1 month ago

No,GE wasn't obligated to let Monyet leave. EG had placed their players in a contract jail, where they refused to increase their salary, and any team that wanted them would have to pay high price for buyout. And according to rumours they threatened to bench them too.
Also, letting your best player go by saying "he's going to a better team" is such loser mentality. They already consider themselves inferior, no wonder they lose so often.

posted 1 month ago

I think RNTX and VLT both are capable enough to rep South Asia this time. RNTX looks too strong in terms of firepower, especially after Venka's addition to the roster. One of these teams is definitely gonna reach the Ascension.

Lmao why do people think India is Islamophobic when it has the 3rd largest Islam population in the world. There are some dumb and racist people everywhere, no need to generalise.
(Btw, Indians have stopped supporting Palestine because an old video resurfaced recently, where some Palestinian leader was saying that they should k*ll all Hindus)
