The Indian Val scene is a shit show right now. No player in tier 1 this time, and the T2 teams haven't looked great either. But to be honest, young players like Venka, Techno etc. are our best bets right now and all we can do is hope they improve.
Even though OG players were sick throughout this tourney, it's no excuse for losing 13-0 (neither this nor ping) . However, they looked good on Haven, so that's the only silver lining right now. Hopefully they do well in Predator league and 2025 VCL/Ascension.
As for MOGO, they mostly get carried by Azys and whenever he fails the team gets thrashed. DM, Rawfiul and Levi are inconsistent af.

Haven't played any official FIDE tournaments yet.
Oh, had no idea about Patrick being sick. Now it makes sense.
I remember that match. However, that was a full-fledged LAN tournament with equal ping for both teams. And even the TR squad had been playing together for quite a while. Here OG was playing with a sub, and from what I've read they were playing at a higher ping too.
How did GE almost lose a map to a T2 SA team which was playing with a Sub, that too at a ping disadvantage??! Makaveli was one of OG's best players, so I thought both the matches would be one sided. I know this is their first game, but with all the odds stacked in their favour, one would expect them to win a bit more convincingly.
I still think OG would have the upper hand in this match up just coz of their aim. Even Hellff started fragging out in some games. Right now the favourites to win VCSA are MOGO, OG and RNT if this roster comes to fruition.
Maka and Venka have been doing good. Techno hasn't been at his best yet, but I have faith in him. If Hellff and Hoax become consistent, this team could do really well.
JFT didn't do anything special in Ascension this year. The only team they defeated was Rapid Lofi, and RNT defeated RLF by an even bigger margin. The only time Oceania looked like a strong region was back in 2023 when Bonkers reached the playoffs of Ascension.
GE might be a shit team, but they haven't done something bad enough to get kicked out by Riot yet.
The fact that Techno had a rare off day and OG still won convincingly gives me hope that this might be the first All Indian team that doesn't have to rely on someone to carry the team.
Only 1 RNT player was in bottom 10 rated players (Skillz). But yea, Dos9 and Sultan were absolutely hard carrying RNT. I wish Dos9 and Sultan had decent Indian teammates like Venka Or Techno. The Kazakhs wouldn't have had to carry so hard.
While I get that India isn't the strongest sub-region in Valorant, let's not forget that many imports that play in SA T2 ended up making it to VCT. SPG Persia (ex Orangutan), Dos9 (according to rumours he is gonna join Boom), FPX Autumn. Even Sultan would have made it to some APAC team if not for the import rule.
AST ain't the same without Rizen. And this OG roster would probably beat any team in SA region, so won't be surprised if it's an easy 2-0 for OG.
If I remember correctly, Venka topped the charts in VCSA Split 2 playoffs, and almost defeated RNT singlehandedly (the one with Sultan and Dos9, not Severine). He not only outperformed the imports from his own team, but also the ones from other teams. And so did Techno (I think he had the highest rating in his team and overall top 5).
