All i said was "Dep pied" and my message got deleted wtf??? , cmon now
Well u all always say this so let me explain, if u have watched sliggy for long enough u may just know he isn't the kind of sensitve guy that his chat rules suggest him to be, actually u could make a really good case abt him being highly restraining from calling other players bad in that kinda way, why? Maybe cause he has been a player and coach in the past so maybe he knows how hard all that things affect players and coaches mentally( just an educated guess) plus he's community is really damn big you know so that also has an effect plus what kind of rules do u set on toxicity and calling players brain dead or using words like throwing , as it's a very vast area and it's hard to pinpoint stuff out and then make rules accordingly for that particular stuff and so it's rather easier to just make a rule of no toxicity ( I know this cause earlier like last year beginning when sliggy community wasn't that big , he did allow some toxicity to an extent.)
it's really interesting that so many people think its enjoyable to talk shit.
They can't even understand why a place where people are kind exists.
I have to assume it's because they are teenagers.
once you grow up, you'll realize that it's easy to be a dick bag, and saying mean shit doesn't make you cool.
If it was just limiting straight toxicity it would be one thing. But the line that was set is insanely strict and completely goes against basic sports culture. Even mild banter is forbidden. This kills any sense of cross community interaction. It makes it painfully obvious that sliggy has never been into sports his entire life.
Holy shit it's not even that deep and it is very fair too because all the mods say is that if a player visits the vod after having a bad game, seeing such comments would take more toll on their mental which is perfectly normal conclusion so if they can ensure that the player doesn't have to deal with a toll to their mental by not allowing chat to be mean then that's perfectly fair no?
like you could rephrase your message to xyz is not having the best game today and it won't get deleted
Imma be fr here, some viewers (and sometimes myself), are only there to watch the pros play and judge them based on the expectations of being a pro player. Meaning, whenever they hit nice shots or make a nice synchronized team play we will react amazed and give them the props they deserve, but also whenever they go on a stinker -- say for example a player goes -12 k/d and makes blunders all game -- we will flame and laugh at them.
So the problem is, in sliggytv's chat room you can hardly say "it's unfair they're playing 4v5" or "[former player] left the team for this?" or if the team is uncoordinated "This looks like gameplay of my daily ranked team". Which is just too damn soft because those messages are for us to laugh with/laugh at, not to be believed or taken seriously.
To only entertain one side of the viewing experience (glazing) and completely restrict the other (flaming) ruins the whole vibe for many people. Think of it the same way that a person seems more down to earth if they can laugh at their own mistakes.
