Thoughts on EG.Potter and where do you rank her against other VCT coaches?

her team is cheeks man you can do just as much as a coach she still got it if you give her a team with decent firepower and cohesion

overrated coach only sucess she had was with a 10 men roster which almost noone had at that point
so dense. u dont have to make any kind of prep or anti strats before the officials cuz the reserve roster can just use the ditto copy of comps and run the same simulations that their opponents have ran in their officials. this is a massive advantage during 23 where no other team had 10 man roster. plus they themselves said they can run drills repetitively which is also an additional advantage. now tell me what tf does the coach do then when ur players do all of this shit on their own? fnatic that year was guided by mini and arguably had more work and effort into his roster by introducing new comps and making sure their players are in form always + they still won back to back to events without needing 10 man roster.

extremely overrated and has been mid for the last half a year. Part of me died when I saw yay phoenix
phoenix on pearl isnt bad they just didnt abuse the reason for phoenix... just orb farm and ult spam and some1 like yay can get 3 ults a half
She only had success when the team had 10 man roster in a season where none of the other teams had 10 mans except for that team. So might wanna put her on fraud watch list ngl
i don't get the hate. she got 2nd and then champions with a roster that was previously seen as bad.
if she had good rosters to work with she could definitely make it to another lan. guys like apoth and icy just don't cut it. and as much as i hate to say it, even derrek.
EG is too broke for a good roster. I think it's mostly their fault and partly hers as well. She chose to stay to have more control and its just not working out. You did the impossible once, take your W and move on. You are NOT going to be creating a champs winning roster with Apoth.
honestly i think icy could end up being pretty good. they definitely have too move on from derrek after this year though.
he's been kinda low impact and NA is a stacked duelist region. im willing to give him more chance but he's one of the first guys that needs to go.
potter is easily an S tier coach but people downplay her achievements cuz shes a woman
potter is one of the better coaches in all of the regions to be fair to her, I remember when she was a player thinking she may not be good in a playing capacity and was advocating for her to be a coach for ages now
she's good at bringing life into players but EG's scouting is fucking terrible ngl. their signings need to be good as a budget org in order for Potter's efforts to be rewarded
there's also the issue that Potter's analyst skills aren't as good as people thought it was from 2023. It visibly got worse for the org after Zikz left, but her ability as a talent developer is definitely there. Maybe she needs better staff that can do the heavy lifting in strategies while she focuses on team form. who fucking knows
Hard to say, I think it's required to have success on at least two different teams to say for sure that someone is really good.

Without a prime Demon1 or a Jawgemo and Ethan, she'll never win a trophy with EG again sadly. Great coach but she got extremely lucky in 2023.

bringing a group of failed players to a champs trophy is crazy but i think with the rosters shes been given + the loss of zikz has def been pretty rough, this narrative of her being lucky is so bullshit though
While I do think she's a bit overrated, she's still a top tier coach what are people smoking on this thread. Her best team after eg 2023 was derrek, apoth, supamen, nature, and jawg. As much as I love those players, besides jawg, they are a pretty bad team.
