t1 and sen both went 5 maps, trace was definitely the team that was furtherst from their #1 seed

trace BEAT edg what the hell are you talking about

i feel like edg proved that that 2-0 was an outlier

#21

Trace EDG only lasted 6 rounds less than the sen G2 series with one less map, definetly wasnt an outlier and they were one insane kangkang play away from winning bind and abyss went to triple overtime

trace losing to edg after winning double pistols then losing 13-4 is just not a good look for them,

sentinels and t1 actually won two maps bro

#26

and trace actually won a series bro

i already told you why i dont think that series matters much to edg, they looked infinitely better in the rematch, was just a wakeup call

if you think edg cared 1000% about that match and trace just own them, surely theyd have won more than one map in the grand finals???

#35

yes they 100% cared about that game? youre retarded if you think a top team isnt trying their ass off every game especially against another top regional team

your logic is horrible man youre just agenda posting theres no point replying

you really think trace would 26-8 edg in an elimination or finals match?

are you serious?

edg just came off of a champs win, they definitely just needed a slap in the face to get serious

Trace and EDG are not close. Trace does well when they prep and know their opponent but their map pool is shit too.. EDG way better still

everyone has beat edg 2-0 in uppers and edg always come back in lowers and wins it all

What? Trace and EDG are probably the closest teams we've seen so far

#16
gamergirl
2
Frags

drx and t1 are the closest teams, by rounds and just the eye test so what youre saying is just not true

i find it much more likely that edg just needed a wakeup call than trace actually being on that level, and the grand finals wasnt as close as you make it seem

SEN vs G2 went to map 5, and map 5 was 13-10 for g2 with a double pistol, that series was also closer for sentinels than edg vs trace was for trace

just telling you the facts, nobody is calling trace bad if it makes you feel better

#28

What the fuck are you yapping about. Two maps went ot and one map was 11-13 the game was very close. Did you even watch the game? EDG were the worse team on Abyss, they only barely won it because Nobody went insane mode going +20 and it was still 14-16. Also Trace dominated EDG before, like it wasn't close. They're the only team so far that lost the grand finals that had already beaten the team they lost to. Just cause the grand finals didn't go 5 maps doesn't mean the teams aren't close.

#29

okay and by your logic EDG was an OT away from 3-0ing trace

see how your logic is retarded?

stop replying

Man I haven't seen some argue in such bad faith in a while. What kind of response is that pal? We both know that's not what I said. I said their maps were more competitive than any other grand finals and they also beat them before. So cool it with the strawmans and come up with an actual argument, or stop replying

#37

i see, so when trace wins in OT, its fine but when EDG does, trace almost wins? not to mention one of EDGs OT wins came with trace winning double pistol lmfao

china fans try not to be biased vs edg challenge

just wrap it up bro,

you can run back the sentinels and g2 series 10 times, sentinels will always make it to map 5 and be 3 rounds away from winning that, trace will most likely always lose map 3 and 4 and be 50/50 on map 1 and 2

holy shit you're retarded. the point they're making is that the maps were close. if edg won 3-0 but all 3 maps were close, that wouldn't have any bearing on the point they were trying to make

#51

Frags

maps werent close, i watched the maps, trace never had a lead in most of the matches despite winning pistols and bonus rounds

edg just doesnt give a flying fuck about winning that trophy after the champs win, but they still beat trace easily

just not close to edg atm sorry

If that helps you sleep at night ofc.

But don't follow that narrative and expect that SEN can't beat any team at Bangkok. They deserve to be there and can beat any team.
Bangkok looks stacked.

Pacific teams look worse. Trace look worse. Trace are too much of a prep heavy team to do real damage here could be wrong but I think a lot of teams internationally are going to expose that. Idek what to think about emea.

No lol. G2 got both map bans and extra prep time while SEN had 3 games in 3 days. SEN can play better with more prep time and with better map priority, and G2 got tested for the first time but stepped up and closed it out. Both teams are really good (I still think G2 is the best itw rn), and both teams have the ability to make a run at Bangkok

#42

Lol sen hadn't even played 2 maps before
If anything this was sen's floor vs g2's ceiling, G2 had almost perfect game. Sen had less time to antistrat, shown more maps (2-1 series and an extra map played), had map ban disadvantage. Still if you wanna write them off sure go ahead.

In terms of who was in a better position I agree. I do think SEN showed the kind of team that they can be while at a severe disadvantage, but I also think that wasn't the best that G2 could have been. It was far from their floor, and probably close to their highest level, but there were moments where G2 wasn't as good as they could've been.

#53
Divine_Thunder

g2's floor? lmfao. sen didnt have prep time still took them 5 maps to close it out. if sen also had plenty of time, they'd def put up a good fight and maybe take 1-2 map on which they lost to ot(not saying they would def win)

Nongshim RedForce will not win a single game split 1 and 2 and will get relegated trust i think they are the worst team going into split 1 despite their 3 fluke wins in kickoffs imo.
