I've never seen anything like it

  1. Complain about KR having 3 spots in franchising
  2. "We are the better region"
  3. Eventually get azz whooped
  4. "Level of pacific is sh*t now that kr dominating and not SEA"
  5. It's all because of JAKE SIN!! (The t2 change happened this year btw)

Don't post these. May be these gonna backfire(because all matches are pretty close). Same happen in 2023 when lot of korean fans said prx never going to beat drx.

dont post these? This post is in retaliation to all the sea fans coping about politics and excuses, has nothing to do with korea domination in pacific.

I don't know it is politics or not. But some decisions ruining vct apac. Same dicisions made by indians back in the day and they got fcked up without any talent.

When i said don't post these i meant this result can be turnround because matches are close and sea teams arn't that shit.

if you look deeper in you can actually see that SEA and South asia is just not ready for pc esports. EVEN japan is struggling but at least they have the money to invest, and the games have always been close, even last year idk why people are overreacting.

I agree about that. But my point is if you are not played with different playstyles, and played against same style with same people, that team going to struggle in vct.
Emea have different regions and different playstyles from some regions. Specialy Turkish players. North america, brazil, latam styles some near different.

We have korea, japan, sea, even china. Can be strong region along with china.
If make one region fall(sea fall) it will hit korean, japn, china teams too

In 2023, a lot of korean fans said prx will never beat drx. Key words "in 2023", and "a lot", not "all"

there are only like 5-6 actual koreans here and they aren't as active. the "a lot" were a bunch of bandwagons when DRX started winning in pacific.

saying "a lot of korean fans" is a stretch when yall aren't even in the korean community.

vlr is not the extent of VCT fanbase. On reddit & twitter, and even youtube comments lmao, most people, korean fans included, thought prx would never beat drx.

koreans dont really use reddit/twitter and instead have their own community.
still pretty much generalising when the OP said "a lot of koreans" because even the kr broadcast said that PRX with something and a fixed starting 5 roster was extremely strong.
in fact, 95% of people writing "koreans dominating pacific" in twit/red/vlr aren't even koreans

Korean fans in vlr != actual koreans

Lot of them had either american logo or indian logo.

Hey! I don't know if others would count me since I'm Korean-American (live in California, but both my parents are purely Korean), other than the fact that I'm fluent in Korean and tight with my culture.

Thanks for the shout though.

they did fuck up southeast asia's tier 2 scene though?
first the merger then the soop exclusive deal
mith and disguised left the scene already

exclusive deal but Im pretty sure no SEA TO offered anything to RIOT. Remember SOOP is covering all the costs. So imagine if a SEA TO bought rights and actually invested in their own scene. Too bad they broke. They aint investing shit. Yet its riot and jake sins fault? Where are all the nice off season events from SEA. Why do they want handouts?

#11

how is it a TO fault when jake sin and riot decided it themselves to make the deal with soop?

money is a pretty big factor since esports in general is really hard to profit off from.

i believe the TOs weren't give the chance to negotiate. even the indo TO said the deal was made before VCL Indo was concluded, i heard.

so basically you guys are saying JAKE SIN and riot chose SOOP to kill SEA t2. Do u guys understand how crazy that sounds? What it looks like is actually SEA TO didnt give a better deal to RIOT so they chose SOOP. I mean shit SOOP is paying for all the expenses lol. Anyone with a logic brain can understand that SOOP signing is not the move but bro please tell your region to invest more.

indo and thai already did. and they have big investors. the other SEA countries, however, didn't.

#22

then Im confused on why they dont have the rights to SEA t2 this season. But either way, considering all the backlash its seems likely SOOP wont be here for too long.

#24
bearmans

that's what i'm thinking too. they are reaaaally going to kill SEA T2 scene if they stick with these kinda numbers, even if they get paid big by soop.
a mere hundreds views for global and indo streams, 1k to 2k ish for thai streams, and no watchparty restream in other platform? yeah no.

I can see why its shady in sea fans perspective now, but still I truly believe it was just a business move by SOOP and RIOT. Remember SOOP was already investing in val for a few years now with off season tournaments. So Im guessing SOOP is out of sea tier 2 by 2026. I wonder if RIOT has the balls to even cut the deal after just 1 year.

it is shady if you consider who owns SOOP and who's their partner (faker)

but i hope its not that complicated

#38

wtf does faker being a partner have to do with this

You do have a point there though.

had all the time (just like other regions) to develop and have enough infrastructure to sustain themselves but only like 1 (or 2)of sub-regions of SEA achieved that. RIOT didn't need to be a charity org.

13-1 will make them stop the mental jerking of saying 'we're better, but we just threw, Our players are fucking ChOcKeRs' while inwardly thinking they have better talents.

"Level of pacific is sh*t now that kr dominating and not SEA"
I'm not a pacific fan, but thats my stance, I just saw the number of Premier team Korea have that is even MORE than NA and that changed my perception of Pacific.
