just think about how to manipulate the map

for ranked calling, id watch vanity back on v1 cuz its super simple stuff that works in ranked and he called it all the time

Go do a custom on every map and just tour around a map, in ranked there arent a lot of variety of smokes, just learn one encounter to that
watch some team comms video those helps, be more vocal in ur comp games, watch more vct games in general

FNS made some videos on IGL'ing on certain maps
Even on other maps the philosophy is the same
Most of it in ranked is just coordination between teammates

Experiment with calling ranked games and pay more attention to the minimap

watch tmv/sliggy and how they breakdown games. really helps to understand what/what not to do and how to do it

Tmv does that but not for all games while sliggy is usually only watchpartying and tho he analyzes , it's more of a surface level and not deep level

Its best to watch igl's play and learn why they call what they do. Make sure to look at the minimap frequently

I suggest thinking from the perspective of your enemies, what util have they seen, where have they seen that util, what conclusions are they making based on that util.

Realistically, ranked is not the place to be some big brain IGL so I suggest being an emotional leader and be OBSERVANT. Encourage people to ask for help, set people up to build trust, and make the comms open and welcoming.

in the past i always tried to be the emotional leader and hype up my team but after a few games you can feel the emotional drain yourself, especially if you got grumpy or angry teammates. now i just prefer playing my own game while typing skibidi in all chat after every kill

You can learn it but you have to be a natural thinker really, just as there are some people who are gifted mechanically, others are strategically and others are gifted with being natural leaders. Don't igl in ranked, you WILL get people out of their comfort zone, they WILL do bad and they WILL tilt and play worse, or even flame you. The best advice I could give you is to get a five stack of friends or people you know will follow your calls and then start with basics.
The most basic stuff I can think of is calling plays, not really strategically but out of feel. Call util combos, player stacks, defensive setups and things you have in mind. Then start implementing those things when you see there's an oportunity to counter the enemy team.

For example if we're playing Lotus attack side and you see your team get blasted everytime you try to get early A main control, try to think around that. If they always win their A fight that means they are investing 2 or more players (very likely 3) so you can make an educated guess, leave your Viper holding the A main push (holding, not fighting) and contact scale C and B at the same time with your 4 remaining players.

The idea behind this is, the enemy invest 3 players to control A main, so that means B and C main are probably free. Your players can just walk up, use utility if needed, and then take the space. You found a counter to their A main take, and you got something back instead, and now you can play the round around what you see. You see your Viper being pushed out of A main to spawn? Probably a good idea to speed up your C or B take (you can open the door and pivot around both sites and you WILL beat the rotates as long as you choose correctly)

I know this is specific but is the first example that crossed my mind

Noo ,I don't want it for ranked, I think it would be cool to watch vct games and analyze them at the same time what's happening at the deeper level
