Man I love tmv but god damn does he have the most basic tastes. Like I get it fnc, vit, and th are all safe choices, but having the teams with big names and went to champs last year be your best really isnt going to play out accurately, look especially at last year. I mean for goodness sake look at vit, they are like the same as nrg 2024 or bld 2024, just bc they have less and derke now doesnt mean that they will magically win every game.

edit: just watched his cn rankings and having edg at 1 will bite him in the ass. sorry but edg are not making bangkok

acend had a not bad but inconsistent year, locked in for champs, and kept their roster but wondered why they couldnt replicate the results in 2022

edg is already faltering in off season events (yeah ik its trolling in part) but i think that their champs performance was when chichoo and smoggy were at their best, plus people couldnt counter their lotus. coming into 2025, theres going to be a lot more national competition, meaning edg cant coast like they did before, and internationally they cant rely on good performance from individual players to carry them anymore

acend was really good in berlin though, 100t just knew how to counter them. even gambit lost to them in the same way acend did

smoggy wasn’t all that in champs playoffs, only in the group stages although he’s still insane. if you watched the champs games you’d see that they had better midrounding and decision making than previous iteration. sure their individuals got them the win vs LEV but saying that they won through pure individuals is ignorance. they also don’t have after coaching for them anymore. edg will be fine as long as s1mon can be a great support player because he’s the reason why they won champs to begin with

off season is an indicator sure but it’s not like TH had a good offseason either and DFM is literally being overhyped

There haven't been many super teams at all, let alone ones that failed. Also, it's not like VIT just grabbed five random insane players. They still have three of their core from last year, and Derke/Less are both very experienced players.

sen 2023, nrg 2024, bld 2024, c9 2023, etc. these are only since franchising, before you could consider a lot more teams "superteams" if you factored cs history (which was a major factor back in the day for seeing how good teams would be!)

the best teams work of systems where players can synergize together, not just rely on themselves to create winning opportuinities

also if they had haodong as a player and after coaching instead i would be inclined to agree with you because they had role issues with their previous iteration

how the fuck is vitality similar to bleed? + the "basic takes" are the most likely to be accurate realistically speaking. the players on vitality are significantly better than NRG, the only players you could definitively say are top players in their roles on NRG were demon1 and ethan, while vitality there's 4 players and no flexibility issues.

also your list is just trying to be special for the sake of it, TL 2nd? good one 😹

demon1 looked like prime tenz, ethan was NA's best support, marved was a top level smokes and considered optics best player, crashies is widely considered a very consistently good initi by the former optic players, and victor was also solid (idk man i cant glaze victor)

both vit and bleed are an amalgamation of star players from past years playing on teams that are not comming in their first language, as well as playing in different styles altogether. Sayf has never igled or played smokes for a consistent period of time, less never played on an english team, and derke was a system player.

Tl on the other hand did everything right. They got rid of all the players that had little to no potential, and that clearly didnt fit into the team. they replaced them with kamo, who although didnt do great on koi is young and def looks like he could be very good. Pati is a very flexible player who played flex on th, but also was able to slot in with different players and still perform. And kamyk was one of emea t2 best players and brought a lot of hype to joblife. They are doing what teams like kc and th did early last year that got them to madrid.
