I'm all for it tbh. The only region that's actually investing a lot in developing their talent. It's like 9 out of 12 teams that have an acad team.

exact reason why Asia (Pacific and CN) are dominating Valorant soon

Yeah I think so too. Korea and China will rule Valorant soon enough

nrg, furia, vitality, gentle mates are all better than the best asia team

this cocky and arrogant attitude that is common not just among the americas region fans but the paycheck stealers too will be the downfall of the americas region.

cause in other games, western regions gets extra slots in competition. Make sense to do this since valorant giving every region equal slots.

EU and NA , SA almost never has and still manage to win , i can only see them dominating in maybe 5 years when this game get filled with agents , but CIS still exist

How'd edg win while not being the best team?

EG won champs using a 10 man roster and this is the modern equivalent now that academy teams are an option. Such a great opportunity for these teams and it’s a waste that other regions aren’t taking advantage of it

it baffled me that EG didn’t pick up another academy (but ig they are still kinda run by a skeleton crew)

Definitely a big factor considering 4 out of 5 of the Americas teams with an academy or LATAM or BR

Though that does make me wonder why some more EU teams dont set up with a focus on Turkish and Eastern European talent (free CIS pls), I imagine those salaries would be about on par with expenditure from KR and JP

Also interesting BBL Pcific doesn't officially count as an academy lol

Maybe bbl pacific is counted like a co ownership team like beastcoast c9 was in r6s

Yeah i'm a big fan of academy teams although I feel bad for the tier 2 orgs in SEA.
Their league had already been condensed and the added academy rosters will squeeze them even more.
If SEA split 1 has 12 teams, there will be only 9 tier 2 orgs.

Even in vcj I do think that we don't need zeta and dfm yet because we might be missing out orgs like sengoku and scarz.
