i find so funny how NRG literally never won anything ever, even with better rosters than this one on paper, but people keep rating then as top contenders for some reason. There are zero arguments for NRG > MIBR at the moment but somehow the likes of platchat think that NRG are more "proven" and "solid" and shit like that (both have two t2 players)

the very obvious argument is that we saw NRG play very well against a SEN core that won a Masters last year and was a top 4/3 team at champs

acting like MIBR deserves to be rated at number 1 just because of aspas and nzr without seeing them when we've seen nrg is a bad faith argument

yeah but this dude veri is acting like they haven’t played at all.

verno is held MUCH higher than both the t2 players on MIBR, and mada was the only factor ppl were worried about and he performed out of his mind at the event.

can mibr be very good? yea. but how is anyone supposed to rate them high when we havent seen them and its 5 people that have never played together before.

i dont think its outlandish people saying nrg- a team with a previous best init and best igl itw and an extremely talented smokes player- are gonna be the best when they get the most well respected tier two prospect and their other pick up proves themselves extremely capable

NRG plays one good game in the entire season and you managed to tunnel vision your whole argument on it and completely ignore the shit show that was literally everything else after.

Using "what we've seen from NRG in 2024" will hurt your argument if anything.

the 2 best players from t2 NA vs the 2 best players from t2 BR, but people are acting like Mada and Verno are just clearly better and more proven (even thou BR won Ascension against an NA team)

i know, but until we see them play as a team its impossible to rate them highly. trust me ive seen them they are insane players just like mada and verno, but the fact we have seen verno and mada prove themselves with the team just makes it easier to rate them higher

I mean, NRG have the same "formula" as mibr (two very good prospects, one starplayer, and two very solid players), but the difference is that the two solid players from NRG are world champions, so of course NRG will be rated higher

yeah, aspas is the one where mibr has "advantage", because of course hes the GOAT. but i think nrg is above on the rest (better proven igl, more consistent support players, etc) and equal on the prospect aspect. i do think that MIBR has a lot more potential outside of aspas than people are giving them, and they could eventually be better than nrg, but rn is not insane to rate nrg above
