just from a talent standpoint, mibr clears
NRG just has bigger names
i find so funny how NRG literally never won anything ever, even with better rosters than this one on paper, but people keep rating then as top contenders for some reason. There are zero arguments for NRG > MIBR at the moment but somehow the likes of platchat think that NRG are more "proven" and "solid" and shit like that (both have two t2 players)
Shadow_Monarch [#2]aspas does clear FNS but verno ethan clears everyone besides aspas
aspas can 1v5 tbh so mibr clears by extension

the very obvious argument is that we saw NRG play very well against a SEN core that won a Masters last year and was a top 4/3 team at champs
acting like MIBR deserves to be rated at number 1 just because of aspas and nzr without seeing them when we've seen nrg is a bad faith argument

yea but it was a singular offseason event
Harapan845 [#6]yea but it was a singular offseason event
1 offseason event of results with solid gameplay where mada diffed arguably a top 2/3 duelist itw at many points last year
vs
0 offseaon events knowing nothing other than names on mibr

ik but im not sayin anything about mibr it just seems that nrg are being way overrated for a team that only participated in one event

probably
also, welcome to the offseason

i dont think MIBR deserves n1 rating, but you people have very obvious double standards.
NRG plays one good game in the entire season and you managed to tunnel vision your whole argument on it and completely ignore the shit show that was literally everything else after.
Using "what we've seen from NRG in 2024" will hurt your argument if anything.
Harapan845 [#6]yea but it was a singular offseason event
yeah but this dude veri is acting like they haven’t played at all.
verno is held MUCH higher than both the t2 players on MIBR, and mada was the only factor ppl were worried about and he performed out of his mind at the event.
can mibr be very good? yea. but how is anyone supposed to rate them high when we havent seen them and its 5 people that have never played together before.
i dont think its outlandish people saying nrg- a team with a previous best init and best igl itw and an extremely talented smokes player- are gonna be the best when they get the most well respected tier two prospect and their other pick up proves themselves extremely capable
RIPBOZO [#10]I know NRG is shit but there's no way NRG will ever lose against baitpas
I know NRG is shit
They're top 2 in Americas at least

NRG 2024: demon1, ethan, victor, crashies, marved
NRG 2025: fns, s0m, ethan, verno, mada
but tell me how they're the same "NRG in 2024"

it sounds to me like he is mad at people for underrating xenom and cortezia while simultaneously underrating verno and mada 😭
ParodyAccount [#13]I know NRG is shit
They're top 2 in Americas at least
theyre at least top 6 ish, top 2 can be any one of lev nrg sen g2 and theres a few dark horses for top 4-6
NRG is a shower while most NA teams are growers besides C9

yes bro a team with two weeks of practice and two t2 prospects is definitely a shower that makes so much sense🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
all the teams are going to get better stop making shit up 😭😭
Ailed [#15]it sounds to me like he is mad at people for underrating xenom and cortezia while simultaneously underrating verno and mada 😭
i just think they should be treated equally, thats the whole point of what im trying to say
the 2 best players from t2 NA vs the 2 best players from t2 BR, but people are acting like Mada and Verno are just clearly better and more proven (even thou BR won Ascension against an NA team)
3 offseason games is not enough

I mean, NRG have the same "formula" as mibr (two very good prospects, one starplayer, and two very solid players), but the difference is that the two solid players from NRG are world champions, so of course NRG will be rated higher

NRG fans mad when you don't rate them over two teams that have proven themselves in international events because of an off-season event
gamergirl [#20]NRG fans mad when you don't rate them over two teams that have proven themselves in international events because of an off-season event
No one here is an NRG fan, it's just facts. Ofc we haven't fully seen all the new rosters play but I'm confident in saying that NRG will make it to every masters and champs

i know, but until we see them play as a team its impossible to rate them highly. trust me ive seen them they are insane players just like mada and verno, but the fact we have seen verno and mada prove themselves with the team just makes it easier to rate them higher
foythvlr [#19]I mean, NRG have the same "formula" as mibr (two very good prospects, one starplayer, and two very solid players), but the difference is that the two solid players from NRG are world champions, so of course NRG will be rated higher

nrg is top 2 based on scrims with rob moore casting "sen city classic"
Veri [#23]Mind you if i asked who is the starplayer off NRG?
to me is s0m, he's one of the best controllers of the world and has been carrying nrg on his back for the past two-ish years. and of course aspas is mile aboves him, but s0m is still a very great player
gamergirl [#20]NRG fans mad when you don't rate them over two teams that have proven themselves in international events because of an off-season event
how does a newly formed team have less growth potential than other “proven teams” with the same 3/4 person core? you just are contradicting yourself atp
gamergirl [#24]nrg is top 2 based on scrims with rob moore casting "sen city classic"
Yes. I'll come back this just before the season starts to prove myself right again. Then I'll come back this time next year to say the same thing
gamergirl [#24]nrg is top 2 based on scrims with rob moore casting "sen city classic"
The only team I'll rate above NRG is G2. C9 look alright, LEV is a gamble and SEN look shaky. God knows why they put n4rrate on senti
Ailed [#26]how does a newly formed team have less growth potential than other “proven teams” with the same 3/4 person core? you just are contradicting yourself atp
rating nrg as atleast bottom 2 is flat out wrong, stop arguing lmfao
i said they will be atleast bottom 6, which is super fair considering there is lev g2 sen nrg and even 100t who actually was decent for a bit last year could return to form
stop arguing, stop replying, say gamergirl you're right, top 6 for a team with nothing but a offseason win is fair
ParodyAccount [#27]Yes. I'll come back this just before the season starts to prove myself right again. Then I'll come back this time next year to say the same thing
i already said top 2 can include nrg, you're just glazing if u think lev g2 sen dont also have a chance
thats 4 teams including nrg, only two will be top 2
stop being schizo, ur glazing, move on I was right

i have nothing against your rating i think preseason tier lists are dumb asf to argue over i just think you calling this team a “shower” is brain damaged :p

No glaze here I can assure you. None of the teams I listed don't " not have a chance " they're just less likely to be at the top. No one here is right or wrong, its a discussion
Veri [#33]"and of course aspas is mile aboves him" well at least you are aware. He really is very good thou
yeah, aspas is the one where mibr has "advantage", because of course hes the GOAT. but i think nrg is above on the rest (better proven igl, more consistent support players, etc) and equal on the prospect aspect. i do think that MIBR has a lot more potential outside of aspas than people are giving them, and they could eventually be better than nrg, but rn is not insane to rate nrg above
xineFso [#31]No wonder if mibr finished 58th place in 2025 season
it’s just aspas and 4randoms braz0l is done
baitpas is same level as those braziL
RIPBOZO [#10]I know NRG is shit but there's no way NRG will ever lose against baitpas
They already did, a lot of times tbf.
RIPBOZO [#35]Based on what? FNS's shit aim?
s0m is a solid player, verno and mada look very promising. Ethan is alright and fns can miss all the shots he wants as long as his calling remains as good as it already is
