Would've gone to dfm if it wasn't for his injuries, considering retirement until dcar, offered him a spot

And bro's not even best player in dfm. Pacific is stacked for next year. But again let's actually wait for official games and don't judge too fast from these off season games.

I mean cmon... at this point, it gets quite obvious that within a year or two, Valorant will be dominated by south korea.
No other country's talent has shot up as much as south korea

Turkey has always been good talent wise tho. South Korea has improved their talent since the start for sure

Korea has been in valo scene since the beginning. They have produced great talents from the start not just recently. People have forgotten about vision strikers current drx t1 players already or what?

Of course I'm not forgetting. But Turkey had way more talent since the start of the game. Korea only had VS and then a couple of exceptions. Over the years Korea has developed so much talent it's insane. I'd say Korea has surpassed Turkey in terms of talent. But we need to see that on stage next year first.

nah turkey never had more talent, but they have almost as much now if not arguably more. Who in the early years were actually good besides cned? Korea had nuturn and VS in 2021.

true true, there is so much depth in every role it seems like, which is super promising

Clearly not good enough. They struggle to make it to top 8 in international tournaments

Don't worry val won't become league. This statement you are saying has been going on for 4 years now when Korea played this game and again when china started playing this game. What you need to worry about is that Germany will never be good in any eSports. Maybe Germany is good in some eSports which I don't know of.

It really hasn't. The only korean team that was okay in 2022 was DRX. In 2023, Korea was sht. Before that, nothing
2024, korean talent starts climbing.

Are you talking about geng? Bro these geng players are all old kr talents. They are literally in 25 age spectrum. Yeah kr new talents are increasing too but again need to see in actual matches too see how far this new talents can go. Need to see if they can be as good as karon.

2021 KR had Nuturn and VS
2022 KR had DRX and ONS
you can't really say only DRX was good because KR only had 1 slot for Masters.

tbh ons pretty bad other than winning 2-0 against drx in 2022

nah they were still solid. had a bit of a slump in stage 2 and K1ng parted ways with ONS before the LCQ. ONS still made it to the final only to lose against EDG after losing their best player so i would say they were still solid.

I think main reason is the lack of good coaches and igls. Kr val is very blessed to have such good eSports foundation and coaches. Also very experienced and good igls as well.

KR having the WMF roster (termi, peri, solo, bail, glow) coming into val was HUGE

its interesting since turkey being located in EU should benefit a lot from the best tac fps region of all time. Shouldnt and wouldnt they have access to better coaching and igls? But yes korean esports foundation is too strong. Some of the demons these academy teams are developing are wild.

Yeah honestly they should but I generally don't have that deep knowledge of turkey eSports scene. But generally in val their macro has always looked weaker despite having so many mechanically skilled players. It's like their fundamentals and macro has always looked average. Maybe good coaches and igls in eu fps scene like Cs don't want to transition to val or something like that. Also no idea if there are actually good and experienced Turkish coaches and igls in Cs or other fps.

they honestly just need a goated turkish coach maybe paura becomes a coach or something like that idk

I honestly think main reason kr talents can shine more than talents of other regions mainly in apac is cause of their strong fundamentals. Like they are so good in basic stuff like utilities, team plays right off the bat. Otherwise most other regions talents are good mechanically too.

Talents in Korea can prosper because of academy(prospect) systems. Hundreds of players who wants to debut as pro go to academy and coaches teach from the fundamentals. T1, GENG and DRX all have about 100~200 prospects are currently learning the basics and by having scrims and getting feedbacks. The best of the best gets promoted to the main roster, and DRX who started valorant division for prospects first is starting to find success promoting Flashback and Athan. They knew they are going to succeed in Tier1 because they have immense amount of data during their academy days.

thing too is that these players are just like developmental anomalies. they pick up new roles and exponentially improve their mechanical skill compared to other regions. like KR and CN easily have the players who just grind the most based on rumors, esp the stuff about how much EDG and the KR teams prac, the academy systems, etc. only difference is the top KR coaches/IGLs have a way better current understanding than CN, they lack a lot of top callers and particularly initiator players.

Don't forget some Korean players were made in JP T2 also

Munchkin, Hyunmin, Foxy9, Akame, Jinboong, etc started/developed in VCJ.
