So now that there’s news of Aspas and Demon1 playing together, it got me thinking: Everyone’s probably thought of the possibility of 5 cracked duelists on a team. Now, obviously this wouldn’t work, but what if there was a more well rounded alternative, with 5 great aimers? So hear me out for this:
-
Valyn (smokes). Not only is he a CRIMINALLY underrated aimer, but he’s also a great IGL, which the team would definitely need.
-
Aspas (Duelist). Pretty self explanatory. I put him on duelist (as opposed to D1) because his “go kill” playstyle would fit in well with the team, since they could all probably “go kill” together 😂
-
Demon1 (2nd duelist/smokes/chamber). D1 would be the great secondary duelist (split maybe?) and could set up some nasty double awp setups with tour de force. Also nothing wrong with double smokes.
-
Primmie (Bear with me for this one: flex/init). As the most recent cracked aimer to come out of ranked to vct, I believe that Primmie should pick up some initiators (Kayo, Skye, maybe even Breach so he could play support). This would take his great ability of taking fights and translate it to a more versatile dynamic, where he could be self sufficient with his own flashes. Also I feel like putting him on senti wouldn’t be the worst idea, since it might reduce his tendency to overheat
-
Less (senti/scan ini?) Less is one of the worlds best sentinels, but I think his attack micro could fit the scan ini role as well. He’d need some coaching from Ol’ Gustavo, but I believe he’d end up performing at a high level with fade and sova.
While I’m not gonna pretend like I have any expertise in roster building, I often hear that at the highest levels, teams get a lot better at shutting down a star player (as seen in Aspas and Primmies’ recent champs downfalls). But what if there were 5? This team would be a less information-centric team, especially on defense, and when every lurk has the capacity to shred your team, what can ya do? Anyway I’m just spitballing here, let me know how bad u think it is 😅.
