Alright, just to be clear, i don’t hate asuna nor do i think he’s a bad player. Im just surprised that he’s still with 100T after all these time.

I mean his flexibility on duelists is probably a reason. He can play neon, jett , raze, reyna, phnx, yoru and also plays init like skye, kayo, gekko. His comms are good and I've only heard good things about him from ex teammates thats probably why

imo it's opportunity cost. As much as people like to dunk on Asuna for his weird aiming style and whatnot, he is actually surprisingly above average (with a 1.01 rating). He has one of the best kayos in NA, although people don't like to admit that. Assuming he gets paid a pretty average amount, there is little reason to risk dropping him. I think bang chose to leave for sen, stellar and Derrek looked pretty iffy during the 2023 season, and cryo was a clear upgrade to will, meanwhile Asuna probably hasn't shown signs of wanting to leave yet and he has played pretty decently across most if not all of the seasons + he probably performs in scrims.

Also look at 2023 too, second highest acs on raze during reg season lol
Its not that hard to find stats.
Raze was mid af this year but his kayo was basically the best for 2024

and somehow Asuna even had more assist per round than a full on initator. Asuna is just doing all the work while Derrek stays alive and clutches once in a while when Asuna doesn't finish the job.

stop. xeppa plays initiator and has the second highest assist per round in 2024 which basically shows hes doing more of a job to support his team than literally any other initators on paper.

You can’t just say, drop Asuna. That doesn’t do anything. You also have to replace him. So, with the rumored team, who do you replace him with? There are not a ton of flex players who can REALLY play things like Kay/O, Gekko, & also Raze & Yoru. & also keep in mind team chem & budgets.
