Dump anything at all, How much you hate teams or how much you want to blow teams.
I hate the way that you walk, the way that you talk, I hate the way that you dress
I hate the way that you sneak diss, if I catch flight, it's gon' be direct
We hate the bitches you fuck, 'cause they confuse themself with real women
And notice, I said "we, " it's not just me, I'm what the culture feelin'
It's always been about love and hate, now let me say I'm the biggest hater
I hate the way that you call, the way that you judge, I hate the way that you fluked
I hate the way that you sneak judge, if I catch flight, it's gon' be direct
We hate the teams that you beat 'cause they confuse themself with real good teams
And notice, I said "we," it's not just me, I'm what the viewers feelin'
How many more fairytale stories 'bout NRG 'til we had enough?
How many more fluke wins 'til you finally feel that you're not good enough?
I like BLG with the lose streaks, I don’t like BLG when they have fluke run
It's annoying how many people see power levels so linearly and how predictable they think every match is.
Trace beating VIT and EDG beating FUT shouldn't have been surprises at all but people act like every European team is better than every Chinese team.
If LOUD had put tuyz on duelist just one month earlier they would've been a great Americas rep and tbh champs doesn't feel the same without them there.
improvement's never a linear line and that's the problem with a lotta viewers, and even when a team improves exponentially during a split or tourney they'll still cry fluke until the truth is unavoidable. hell, it wasn't until fucking America's playoffs that people finally gave G2 credit and admitted that they were actually fucking good and not Icy simply having a "life game"
That and also the logic that Team A beat B who beat C who beat D, so obviously A beats D. All while totally failing to talk about their playstyles and how they might counter one another differently or how they might have changed since previous matchups.
The G2 thing is so true too it feels like it took forever for people to accept that they're better than, for example, NRG, just because of the preconceived impression people have of the teams as being good or bad.
This season especially is really bad when it comes to the anime-esque powerscaling that the fanbase is falling into for some goddamn reason. Of course there are obvious favorites in some series but ultimately it's never a clear outcome until it's over. Sudden blips of genius in a team's overall gameplan or fundamental understanding of the game is ALWAYS a possibility to occur and stick.
G2 has only proven the concept of a coach being the most important long-term team factor more and more. The G2-NRG contrast is gonna be an omen for things to come if some orgs don't get their shit together
