0 Spaniards in the whole series. Challengers is funny with regional divisions.

No you're right tho. A Spanish representative with 1 player is not what I would prefer, but KPI specifically has done a lot to earn it.

Yeah but they were the only team with a spanish core in the top 4. I'm glad they won

me too tbh, i think it'd be epic if FC Barca became a franchised org lmao

+I think it's funny that they have their spanish core and a polish duelist as their striker (duelist)

I assume they're actually affiliated with the football club and not just taking the name? If they are that's sick if they aren't that would be a mess lmao

They're the esports division of the actual football club, it's fucking insane

I wonder if they have crazy money or are super cheap and on a tight leash, really feels like a tossup with some of these massive backers

I assume they're on a tight leash right now, but would invest a lot more if they get a taste of that franchising bundle money

They're slightly above average for tier 2 in spending

Some football clubs have crazy money, yes, but FC Barcelona is notoriously known for having financial issues. They had to let go of Messi because he was worth too much for them to keep (FFP rules).

I was only confused because VLR still lists him as a Ukrainian national, but I assume he's a Spanish citizen now based off Liquipedia

True. R8's three Russians and two Belarussians are a definitely good representation of the Middle East and North Africa.

not our fault our league was shut down by riot. what do you expect the players to do? not play in others?

I honestly expected Russia to be grouped with East: Surge. Would make a lot more sense for the Russian rosters to be playing against Czechs and Poles than against Egyptians and Saudis.

well the problem is east is the biggest exporter of talent in t2 atm
too much talent and too few orgs, so no reason to import

Schneefeuer did a super interesting analysis of all imports/exports for regions a bit ago (idk why they never posted on vlr, was waiting to comment on it ngl)
