Only possible for china to show their Cinderella story, other regions won't be able to show their potential . For example:
Take a look at G2, they had to qualify through ascension to get the franchise slot and now see what they did !! Some teams won't be able to show their full potential due to only 1 slot for franchise.The runner up who were one step closer won't be able to qualify for franchise and there might be some possibility that these runners up team will be able to eliminate 50% of so called S tier franchise team

Biank didn't want to be the IGL for Bilibili after Champs so they switched it over to B3ar who became like the worst player in VCT China, now B3ar got benched and I don't even know who's IGLing now.

Hiko 1v4 clutch on Icebox against Gambit. They were down one map and 3-10 or something on second map. This saved them the comeback and won the series against eventual champions

To this day I believe if they were able to win against ENVY they would've won Masters Berlin and that team should have never dropped steel. They could have been a serious competitor for champions that year. Sucks what happened to that team.

they for sure couldve. They beat the Masters Champions of berlin and they beat the Champions of that year as well. Unlucky they had to go against Poolchan but that team had so much more left to give

Allowed TenZ to get out of retirement

Optic won this tourney without beating an emea team while the strongest emea team couldn't attend

Acend won this tourney but they would of likely not make it out of groups if the loss to keyd stars counted
