Starting the year with a double elimination bracket sounds fun and all..
but how will riot even seed an event like that?

Multiple roster changes, probably a new meta.

The ramifications of this could lead to good teams being knocked out early and gaining less points than teams who are a lot worse.
If the points system isn't done correctly this could cause some issues down the line.

It just seems unnecessary to start each year with a high stakes tournament when there should already be enough interest created by the off//season and roster moves.

The idea of Kick Off tournament is stupid as hell. Put on top of it that it's a qualifier for Masters is even more stupid. Not sure what the need to replicate LOCK//IN (which was a way to present the partnered teams) in 2024 is..... it makes 0 sense

why is it only 8 teams that go for masters to Madrid?

literally no idea how 11 team double elim work? there will be huge controversy if the challenger teams have to start a single elim 1st bo3 like LCQ this yr

this is actually so ass why can't riot just do two full splits, two masters, lcq and champs? why add this unnecessary kick off event every year i want the storylines to develop in the leagues not rush into international games in march
