Phoenix is a W first beginning agent. Has all the fundamentals for a lot of agents. Has flashes, heals, molly, wall, and a ult that recharges quick and u can run it down.

Until u start flashing ur teammates. Sage is the best started agent hands down
Ardiis is the perfect example as to how badly you can grief your team as Sage if you don't know what you're doing.
I'd say Brimmy is better.
Brim feels easy to me, but maybe it's because I'm a smokes main. Either him or Sage is probably a good stater agent.
Surely its just Reyna/Sage.
Least impactful utility and you can just focus on learning important basics and aim
Reyna is like the worst for a beginning player because your aim needs to be good. If you're not fragging with Reyna she's basically useless.
Every other agent has mechanics that need to be applied correctly.
Base aim is something you need to figure out before you should be learning anything else
But what player is going to practice just aim until their aim is decent enough, and then play? New players are just going to pick an agent and start playing probably long before they get a grasp on how to aim. Reyna is literally the smurf agent for a reason, because it's about how much better at aiming you are than the enemies. She's not good for someone new, because figuring out how to use utility to benefit your team is often times easier than learning how to aim well.
I would prefer a player who doesn't fully understand how to use their util over a player who is on YT guides looking at util videos and is incapable of aiming.
100% it is easier to climb when you're better at aiming than when you're good at using util.
So why not play an agent which eliminates the need for the less useful skill so you can focus on the more useful one
This isn't about a hypothetical player, this is about the average beginner player. And that player doesn't know how to aim, or can't aim very well, and has to play for a bit to unlock ranked.
Okay the same principle applies to them.
Its better to learn the aim and get better at aiming in a game where the goal is to shoot and kill the enemy.
Therefore the more you can focus on that without having to worry about using abilities the better
people that started with sova 🗿
the whole ultimate going through walls reminded me of hanzo so i picked him up
i started with sova...but the first agent i unlocked was omen, bcoz i love spooky stuff
yeah I really loves when my pheonix who just downloaded the game unintentionally keeps flashing me , i would say it's sage or Jett (learning Jett is not that hard but mastering Jett is hard)
sage phoenix and brim are easy asf
sova isn't as easy bc you need lineups
jett is awful for beginners bc they scared to entry and don't know how to dash in good
I remember I got Yoru (before he was buffed) and played him a lot as my starter agent I probably was the worst Yoru ever at that time
If u start new in valorant and want fun u need to pick phoenix is the most funny agent or brimstone (u can run an shoot with the stim beacon xd)
Phoenix > Brim > Sage.
Once you understand those agents, everyone else is a lot easier to pick up because you understand the flow of the game and what ppl expect of your utility and moment to moment actions
