I think it's now tougher than ever to rank them

I've seen some people go with pacific first but I still disagree? Ok, they had 2 teams winning groups (arguably the 2 toughest groups as well), we know how good PRX is and DRX is back to form.

BUT. their #3 and #4 where arguably #2 and #3 worst teams @champs behind only FPX...

So my ranking is: EMEA>AMERICAS>PACIFIC>CHINA

EMEA ha showed @champs to have 4 solid teams. NAVI were 2 rounds away from beating both LOUD and DRX, Giants beat Kru, fut looked solid.
AMERICAS was good but maybe they underperformed a little (KRU was hyper-hyped up, NRG lost to BLG..)

What's your ranking or do you agree?

Interesting take, and overall, you may be right.

But I value depth more than just having 1/2 great teams (that's why I had Americas above EMEA for some time), and, although PRX>EG and DRX>LOUD, NRG clears zeta and Kru is pretty much the same as T1 in my power rankings (or maybe even a little higher)

how though? They won the first Lan, Berlin finalists, then dominated 2022 with winning iceland and champs. and have been double finalists this year so far, and If Loud are looking good, likely another finalist.

DRX and PRX = really good performance overall, T1 got their moment and ZETA was just unlucky
FNATIC and FUT = Fnatic really strong as expected (even tho their group was one of the easiests) and FUT are playing decently until now
EDG and BLG = really good performance on both matches (despite being stomped by Fnatic, it's the currently best team itw, so we don't count)
LOUD and EG = really strong performances, LOUD are coming in a better shape than EG imo bcs of their groupstage matches and momentum.

Group D(eath) was litteraly LOUD=DRX=NAVI>=LIQUID

This is kind of a dumb take tbh. You had 5 EMEA spots and only 2 teams will make it in. America's had 4 spots and 3 will make it into top 8. Do the math buddy. Yes Fanatic will likely win, but every other EMEA team is so far below them. America's is and will likely always be the most competitive region.

Liquid and Navi got drawn in the same group with also 2 contenders for the entire tournament. Noone had any faith in FUT beating T1 for some reason. Giants have a really good chance of going through. Fnatic are fnatic there not only clear of other EMEA teams, their clear of every other team in the world. Only PRX could give them a good game at present.

100% but i didnt expect we get grouped it was just a matter of which liquid would show up. If it was EMEA playoffs liquid i think we easily get through top seed but if its the one we just saw at tokyo and now champions then we stood no chance. It was never a foregone conclusion as to who would make it through.

Americas the worst region so far. What makes their performances even worse is that EG and NRG (if they make it) had by far the easiest groups meanwhile NAVI, TL and Giants somehow find themselves in the hardest groups

Kru vs Giants was very close + Giants will most likely get grouped today. Navi and Liquid grouped. Thats 3/5 teams grouped and every #1 seed group team would kill to face FUT first in playoffs which means they will be the first to leave aswell. Just leaves Fnatic who have been really lucky to face BLG and Zeta since NRG was unlucky against BLG. My prediction FNC wont even be Top 4 this tournament.

Americas definitely the best region, their teams like C9, LEV would 100% beat Navi, Liquid, Giants, FUT. Fnatic mimi was right when he said Americas most competitive region

I'd accept a swap between EMEA and Pacific, but if DRX is good again this is how I see it. Americas has been the best region this year and it's indisputable. At lock-in, while EMEA had two teams in the top 4 (FNC/NAVI), Americas had 4 in the top 8 (Loud, NRG, LEV, 100t). At Masters Tokyo, NRG and EG both made it out of groups and placed top 4, while the best an EMEA team could do besides FNC was TL, who won one game and then bombed out. Tbh idc how you wanna rank them, as long as Americas is number 1.

EMEA had 4 teams in top 8

Add to this that fnatic won all the tournaments until now and it's pretty obvious what region was the best in 2023.

But this literally proved my point though. Americas has had the most teams in the top 8, making them the best region. And for EMEA they've sent more teams than any region and barely beat out the Pacific and couldn't beat out Americas. Yeah FNC is good but the rest of EMEA isn't and that's literally backed up by how teams have done this year.
