Consdering that in a few weeks he's going to be a free agent do you think any orgs would try to pick him up in the future? Pretty sad to see el diablo go slowly down.

I can say with confidence that Yay was the best and most consistent player of 2022. Even pre chamber he was one of the top Jetts in NA (He literally got his El Diablo tag before chamber even came out)

if I mention his performance now in T2 you would probably say something like "his team is trash" or whatever, the only thing you can say to prove his better than ardiis now is his 2022 performance which is not relevant now since most of his agent picks are nerfed.

Yes you assumed correct yay's time on DSG is pointless to bring up, it was a content team that was actually playing Reyna ffs.

Yay's main skills are his rifling and OPing. Afaik they did not nerf the Vandal or the OP. As for his agents, Jett is the most meta agent rn and there's nothing he won't be able to play that Ardiis is playing. In fact with his passive playstyle and his aim he'd make a better anchor player on agents like KJ/Sage (ok this is speculation)

Ardiis on the other hand hasn't had a consistent run. His Jett performances were very low impact in playoffs. And his OPing has been very bad this entire season. The once saving grace about him is his aggression but then again he's not been finding his first bloods on entry

Agent plays an important role on how he uses both of those weapons. So by saying, he is still the same as he was back in 2022 because there is no nerf on the vandal or the OP is just wrong.

True he'd make a better anchor player with his passive playstyle. But the meta as of now, requires an aggressive duelist to push through double controller setup (especially in Americas), NRG needed that aggressiveness from Ardiis.

You could argue all you want, but there is no clear evidence that yay is better than ardiis in this current meta. Maybe he'll do better, or maybe he'll do worse, let's just hope franchised teams picked him up to solve this debate once and for all lol

I don’t think he will. Teams right now are looking for flexibility and high agent pool. Ardiss can play kj sage and jett. Yay only knows how to play jett. Even on EG demon1 plays controller on 1 map and duelist on other. Organisations need people with high agent pool. Yay just don’t provide it.

Teams make you play sage, omen, killjoy or initiator-

Nobody wants someone who’s instalocking even in pro-play

Anti-strats would become easier against them since 1 player will always play the same agent

And he is not that good that the teams would play around him imo

Bruh, if u think antistrat in professional level it's like "he's playing jett guys lets pick 5 smokes so he can't op 😎" you clearly don't understand the game, the same exact comp on Ascent it's being played since more than a year and a half and it's not like teams can't shut down strats because they don't know their comp, antistrating it's about knowing the player and the team tendencies and build a counter plan around it, I guarantee you every single team last year knew exactly that yay was gonna play Chamber almost every single match and optic still succeeded
