been dominated by jett and raze since valorant released. why has riot not added new viable duelists?
No chamber was worse than Jett. Chamber had a nearly untradeable ability regardless of positioning. Because the tp was long range, it allowed for him to shrug off all utility and getting his tp back up in just around 30 seconds. Jett can get punished by baiting out her dash, or making her take a fight in open spaces, while chamber could play pearl b site in the open with no drawback. I agree with him being a cool replacement to Jett and adding duelist diversity but not like he was pre patch.
riot are not good at microbalancing and have proven this to be true, they either make massive, gamechanging role defining balance patches, or none at all. imo there is a fairly close gap between jett/raze and neon/yoru (arguably the next most viable duelists) but riots inability to appropriately balance the role, as demonstrated by 3/4 least played agents being duelists, is holding them back
Do you understand that with the current state of jett in the meta, teams would pick their obligatory jett op AND then another person for the improved second AWP?
AWP is miles better in valorant than it is on csgo, simply because the abilities you can use to easily run out of trouble, if you buff then or make it easier to use, then we have a serious problem
