Carpe has had an illustrious Overwatch career, known for his proficiency on hitscan-intensive characters such as Widowmaker and Cassidy. His career began in 2016 with BK Stars, where he spent time with Chae "Bunny"
Joon-hyuk (채준혁) and Lim "twinkl"

respectively.
He later joined Faze Clan, a North American team that made waves after coming in second place for North American Contenders 2017. The hitscan ace was later picked up by Philadelphia Fusion, where they finished second in season 1 of the Overwatch League. Carpe had a medley of solid performances over the years, with his best one at Overwatch World Cup 2018, where he represented his country and finished with a gold medal. 2020 was his best year with the Fusion as they achieved two consecutive tournament second-place finishes, second during the regular season, and fourth-place overall. Carpe also received the Role Star DPS award the same year.
The Korean star has spent his entire OWL career with the Fusion throughout all five seasons and was regarded as a legend in the scene due to his commitment, as players and coaches alike have come and left the team, with Carpe being the veteran remaining. In his final season, he found minimal playtime, and ended his year with a top-twelve overall finish. He also ranked second in multiple all-time hero statistics.
After getting accepted into the Pacific partnership league, T1 retained xeta , Byeon "Munchkin" Sang-beom (변상범), Joseph "ban" Seungmin Oh, and head coach Yoon "Autumn" Eu-teum (윤으뜸). The organization parted ways with Joshua "steel" Nissan and Zander "thwifo" Kim and signed Ha "Sayaplayer" Jeong-woo (하정우) and Kim "BeomJun" Beom-jun (김범준) in their place. Carpe will join the team's starting five, with BeomJun moving to a sixth-man position.
With the addition of Carpe,
