Also Doritos are overrated and all lays potato chips are trash.

Since then I have done some research:

Netero is most likely from North Eastern United States/Canada as that's where Herrs chips are primarily sold.
More specifically Herr's Chips are mainly popular from Virginia to New York. (Atlantic Region of America)
Now if we look further, out of all of the places in the Atlantic region of the U.S., Andy Capps Chips are only really sold in the New York Area.
There are some places outside of New York that have them readily accessible, but not many.

It looks like Netero is a New Yorker.

If not, he's most likely just barely outside of the state, right next to the New York border.
I commented on the post itself, but I believe the world needed to see this.

Also I realized that 90% of the canadian population are within 100 miles of the border of the United States (A stupid fact i remember from High School history)
It would make a lot of sense if he was located on the Canadian/New York border especially since its the most population dense area in North America

technically speaking (and I'm not exactly sure because all I did was skim the wikipedia article), doxxing falls within OSINT, but OSINT=/=doxxing.

While both doxxing and OSINT involve retrieving publicly available information, doxxing is about acquiring public information so as to perform malicious actions to a victim, such as blackmail/pizzabombing/SWATting/etc. That last part is what makes doxxing illegal. In and of itself the compilation of information on a person can be dangerous when uploaded to a public place.

OSINT, however, seems to be on a larger scale. While the fundamental data gathering principles are the same (gather intelligence from open source a la public repositories) the objectives, usage of gathered data, and motives can differ from doxxing.

Doxxing someone is pretty fucked up, people's reactions to them being doxxed...there was a moderator on a forum I used to go on when I was young who would regularly abuse his power and some people I know went and doxxed him, threatened to reveal the information if he didn't start behaving responsibly. It was basically extortion. I would not suggest anyone get into doxxing because while the power trip may be appealing to some, it's really not worth jail time if you get caught. Not to mention the psychological trauma you could inflict on whomever you're doxxing.

In the end, we're all people. Be careful about what you say and do on the Internet guys.

It is still sort of doxing, even if it's not fully accurate. What you did is essentially compile publicly available information into an (albeit rough) dossier. That's what doxing is. Nothing wrong with what you're doing so far, because it doesn't seem to be malicious in intent. However, it's still a risk and if it were me as the subject of this thread, I'd want it deleted. But it seems Netero himself doesn't care too much, so it's fine.

Don't feel compelled to justify yourself btw, my post was just a reply to the other guy's comment, not necessarily judging you.
