All the NA people complaining about timezones and how it isn't catered to them then saying the game is dying because the viewership is lower. ever wonder maybe it's because sen is an NA team so more people wouldve watched if it was a diff timezone, and since it's not another cn/emea team they might just not watch because they don't care ABT the teams?
and obviously there's other factors in play like how there's no tenz no Turks no prx one Brazilian which is on an emea team of all teams, and since all these are big fan bases and none qualified the viewership will be lower
y'all don't even get to complain about timezones, the next 2 events which will arguably be better because of more teams are shit for Pacific/cn, and while yes there's been 3 Pacific/cn events in a row, the first Pacific event was in 2023 so 2021 thru 2023 lockin, it was all bad timezones for eastern audiences

The main thing I wanna point out is that half the events will now be in this time zone area and there’s j nothing you can do about it really
But overall it’s good that Riot are making sure APAC get events, huge untapped market for PC FPS that CS failed to engage with (until really recently, but riot now have a head start)

I agree with a lot of what you said but this is a super invalidating POV. I think Pacific not having an event when Valorant first came out really does suck and I get how you feel but that doesn't just wipe that I haven't watched a single international match since March 2024 and probably won't be able to until June 2025, over a year later. Even then, the event I last watched was Madrid and I am lucky to be able to watch it at work. If I was not so fortunate, the last one I watched on my own time was Champs 2023 in August of 2023 (meaning that there was a 1 year 10 month gap between western tournaments.) Yes, the viewership arguments are extremely braindead and NA fans act quite entitled, but it truly sucks for RIOT to suck at planning so much to the extent that ANY region gets screwed over for a year+

Time since LA to Toronto: 1 years 9 months 12 days (last watchable NA match to first new watchable NA match)
